The Advent Fair’s was rich with exhibitors arriving to Budapest from the region of Lake Balaton!

The event organizers at the Capital welcomed with a special surprise for the invited guests by a technology giant 10 meter length ice frozen Lake Balaton silhouette at the City Park – Ice Rink. Here this day, you could skate around the lake as a Olympics champ within minutes. (By-the-way, the original size of the Lake Balaton is impressive … 78 km long in length, widest point in the north and the south coast 14 kilometers apart, and in total of 592 square kilometers. So in Hungary stands Europe’s largest freshwater lake. Locals referred to it as the “Hungarian Sea”,  no wonder because centuries-and-centuries ago this area actually was covered with water of the sea.)

The Lake Balaton circle’s wineries brought their particularly fine unique wines to Budapest to build a spectacular Xmas tree in the middle of the ice rink, whereas the skaters were addressed through the loudspeaker to skate to the Xmas tree and have a taste of the wines from the area of the Hungarian Sea.  Dr. Ádám Ruszinkó, Assistant Secretary of State for Tourism opened the event by saying this is the first Lake-Saloon and Wine Xmas tree that reminds us of the beauty  full year around of Lake Balaton and especially  drawing attention to the coming season’s holiday, as the “Best gift for Xmas is the Lake Balaton”.  In other words, the organizers aim was to offer for the Lake Balaton lovers the experience to spend time in the shortly coming season holiday, having a wellness week-end during the New Year’s Eve by the lakeside and/or take a wine tour, pick up some gifts, or craft at one of the fine winemaker’s winery introduced at this event.  Also said, of course, the list is long of those wineries from the  Region of Lake Balaton whom were not present at the  set up of the Wine Xmas tree  and to have had the possibility to taste their superb wines. Anyway, in the meantime, indeed worthwhile to learn about the opportunities  here on the spot offered by the region’s producers and find that special taste you are looking for. At the event all the products were available to purchase.

Exhibitors. Wine makers: Bezerics, Bújdosó, Istvándy, Konyari; Laposa, Légli, Palffy, St. Donát, Szeremley, VáliBor, Villa Tolnay.  No surprize when talking about wine regions in Hungary to have our eyes  at the same time  their  local gastronomy, special delights. Here the Balatonízlelő craft delicatessen, Bergmann Confectionery, delicatessen Gurman, Gabor Pach fruit pálinka, Kistücsök Restaurant delicatessen products, Balaton Uplands National Park craft products were on the spot to taste and purchase some goodies to serve at the coming event. That evening the Hungarian National Tourist Office represented  one of the most cosy hotel’s at the northern area of Lake Balaton, the Bonvino Badacsony Hotel.

The event’s guest of honor was by the presence of  Kreinbacher  and Tornai from the Somlói wine region.

This fall, have launched the Lake Balaton wines quality assurance system.  The best lakeside producers were here from the wine region. The tender was out in designing the unified label. In addition, been initiated  to introduction the trademark of  quality wines from Lake Balaton and to ensure to be more successful in the communication area.

Gábor Kardos – president of the Lake Circle, the idea to host the event said … Quote: „”The regional branding is globally a successful model and we also see it here in our Homeland the importance to show, offer and introduce to Europe’s  major cities the Lake Balaton region’s wine makers presenting “Best of Lake Balaton” as well. „

The Vocational Service of Hungary Water Rescue supported the event by joining the event with a mascot dressed in red . The bearded, wearing cool sunglasses “hipster” was an image of a loose, casually youthful Santa Claus around the Lake Balaton.

Added to the advent wreath, the lifeguards brought rescue rings and wine bottles with candles placed inside highlighted the magical mood on Advent’s Silver Sunday.

In addition to the wines Xmas tree, the wine makers lit along with the other exhibitors the advent wreath candles placed on a ship’s rescue belt. What an  awesome  way to celebrate  an  Advent Fair venue,  bringing, showing wine makers to the Capital at City Park’s  Ice Rink.

After having fun out on the ice rink, inside the assembly hall the tasting-party continued with the delicious wines and having typically Hungarian Xmas sweets, cakes and all that sweet tooth lovers eyes and senses can imagen. Just whispering … I got madly in love with the heavenly taste of the 100% of white grape juice from the Istvándy winery.

Art of House at Gödöllő!

The 4,350 mile journey in just 2 hours within an extraordinary MUSICAL SHOW rolling on the rail tracks that will take you back in time, in having a peak on the route of the world-famous Orient Express. The premiere show will be  presented by the musical troupe of the Békéscsaba Jókai Theater, director and production designer: Péter Fekete. So we heard at the press conference which was held on Tuesday, by representatives of the production at the Hungarian Railway Museum‘s inside the chocolate-and-cream colored train with Lalique glass and wood-panelled dining car. The coming up performance is connected to the 100th anniversary of the fourteen war. In 1914 at Zemun – Belgrade, the Sava bridge was exploded, whereas previously on the trails, rattling bridges, spanned over rivers and gaps connecting East and West said Péter Fekete. Also added, he had been thinking of the idea to bring on stage the history of the Orient Express in a musical formation, researching background materials to implement into the show as: … Quote: “beheaded journalists, suicide bombers equipped with explosives, chador wearing bright-eyed and bare-faced women, photocopied images hanging on the wall. Concentrated on interoperability problem between the East and West, the collision points to make the eternal story.”

Main philosophy … Quote: „We can only accept each other …  if we get to know each others culture … if we accepted each other …  then bridges will not be exploded … said Péter Fekete.

The musical production is fulfilled with elegance, adventure and the great symbol of traveling  by rolling on and on the rail tracks  from Paris and Istanbul. This is the story of a great trip, crossing boarders presenting the different cultures within each country’s arts, styles, dance, folk music.  The show will follow musical roots of Western culture, the French Impressionists Expressionists and musical ideas, Balkan folklore music, Vienna and Budapest coffee house atmosphere, and Turkish folk motifs. The show floats the audience  back to the grandiose, unique spectacle-world, in two-act theatrical piece, contemporary luxury route between East and West. Also highlighting the show with the performances of the Cimbaliband  group , „Fricska” – Flick dance group, and  the Talamba Percussion Ensemble..

The play is actually based on a simple love story … if a love story can be simple … a man play by: György Szomor/Csaba Vasvári from Paris and from Istanbul, played by Petra Gubik, a woman travelling to approach each other. While on the trip through music, dance, tell their own stories. Half way on their journey, the bridge was exploded. Soforth, this was destroying their possibility in encountering each other. The history is well-known as breaking, tearing apart men and women as the 1914 outbreak of the First World War.

György Gémesi – Mayor of Gödöllő said, the House of Arts in Gödöllő will host the Orient Express music and dance production for the first time on stage in Hungary and in the world. This will be the world premiere within a musical show of the outbreak of World War I. The major added, arriving to the premiere will be the major of Sarajevo and other honored guests. Also said, within this production will be one of the 50 memorial and cultural events to take place in Hungary in memorial to the thematic worthy end of the outbreak of the WWI. Balázs Kovács – executive director also expressed his honor to have the Orient Express world premiere production on stage at the House of Arts in the Cultural and Conference Center – Gödöllő.

Somehow missing to be at the Saturday’s premiere, there is also a chance to see the production on  Monday, December, 15. 2014., at the Art of House in Gödöllő.

In May, 2015. at  the Békéscsaba Jókai Theater to be held 20 performance, also a station where once stopped the Orient Express.

The production director is already underway having negotiations about visiting, taking on stage the musical in those cities … from Paris to Istanbul  … where the Orient Express had stops. During the press gathering a piece of insight was shown to the media representatives.

THE 4 FOR DANCE BACK FROM FORMER USSR

odd pám

THE 4  FOR DANCE TRAVELED ONE  MILLION KILOMETERS

After the Moscow gig members of the ensemble had the opportunity to get acquainted with Russia. Only got in trouble once with and about a local food specialty.

Dance for the four members returned from Moscow a few days ago, which occurred within the context of a local cultural program, and represented Hungary. The members of the ensemble also made a special show  in which the Hungarian folk dance steps with modern rhythms and virtuoso playing was unique. Their program was a joint event with one of the student of the world-famous Mojszejev, but that was not only one of the reason why it was an interesting adventure for them.

Dániel Illés, Péter Enyedi, Kristóf Bárány and Sándor Gál had dinner in at a restaurant  so-called “Zsiguli” … (the writer’s own comment: … The famous USSR made LADA vehicle most prolific Communist car between 1980 and 2012. Sold very well in the UK in places like New Zealand, where it was distributed by the New Zealand Dairy Board, which had previously received it in lieu of cash payments for deliveries of mutton and butter) and where Putin himself is not uncommon for guest stopping by. They discovered the main attractions of the Russian capital, including the snow is beautiful mysterious on the Red Square and the KGB HQ’s. Visited Nizhny Novgorod, a place where even manufacture in the present day the Volga made vehicles. Also traveled on rail tracks rolling to Trans-Siberian as well. “This is the world’s longest railway line, 9288 kilometers transporting hundreds-and-hundreds of passengers.

„The route takes more than a week, but we were just on route the for seven-hour and had the chance to stretch and have a wink in the sleeper car. All-after-all it was a great experience. Most of the passengers looked like the zombies due to their one week-long journey. For us it was fulfilled with fun”- told Peter Enyedi.

“The local  borscht soup was delicious, but the local meat Vareniks  and the Pelmeni caught us up. Anyway,  we were tough and  heroically ate no matter how  it was not in our use to taste. Cannot say it will be in our list of favorite food. Likewise, the vodka. We all had a sip,  but now we understand why the Russians drink so much in their cold weather.

The boys are back in town and ongoing with rehearsals to their 4 for Dance  to the 10th anniversary , to  welcome their fans here in Hungary.
