Travelling 80edays Around the World Using No Fuel!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

New Beginning, Renewable Energy and New Ecosystem so was said at the travelogue of the 80edays around-the-world trip by electric cars held by József Helmich and Csaba Mészáros – president and owner of the evopro group at the TAMA Restaurant in Budapest.

Barcelona hosted the start off the major electric event of the year.

The ten pure electric cars and an electric bus lined up at the Arc de Triomf to participate in the ELDURO.  The end point was also at Barcelona.

Before getting into the depth of information, starting with what usually is mentioned at the end of an update wish to highlight the following fact … The winner in its category for its self-supporting, modular, full composite body Bus designed by Hungary’s evopro and manufactured by Russia’s NCC, won International Innovation Award! Now that its done, here goes the insight to the electric cars around-the-world race. Definitely had to keep in mind that anything can break down. That is why it was a key factor during the designing of Modulo to minimize the amount of parts and to avoid unnecessarily complicated details, so it was said by József Helmich.

In the 80edays tour there were 11 teams, traveled over 25000 kms, crossed over 20 countries, including three continents. The rolling teams on 80edays were Austria, China, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany I., Germany II., Germany III., Hungary Spain, Switzerland I., Switzerland II., USA with electric cars around the world. The goal was to prove, once again, the sustainability of electric vehicles. The project was initiated by Rafael de Mestre, who in 2012 managed to circle the world in 127 days. He participated this time along with the teams with a car Tesla Model S.

The rally rolled through many different geographic areas … plains, deep vallies, mountains high, narrow street sections, through a lot of potholes, due to restriction heights, barriers to bridge the bus had to change directions make detours, but they did not loose too much time in figuring out which way to continue the race and also drove over 2000 meters above sea level. In each country they travel through the teams plant a tree along with a memorial plaque.

From Europe ten cars have been transported across the Atlantic. The Electric Bus of the Hungarian team was transported by ship to Halifax/Canada that was the first North American stop. From Halifax to New York and then on the road led them throw the States to San Francisco and Los Angeles. From there on, the vehicles were flown over the Pacific Ocean, until reaching Guangzhou – China and off they drove on the road again ending the race at their starting point in Barcelona, Spain. The teams traveled 25,000 kms across 20 countries and three continents. The teams passed along iconic cities, where over 40 events were organized to raise awareness about EV technology. Residents and tourists strolling by the boardwalk stopped by viewing these electric vehicles. Many among the observers said they are hoping to travel in the future at their sub-urban and inner city areas on these gas-free buses.

After having arrived from America and Spain back to Budapest, the Modulo vehicles are now promoting electro mobility in the capital as well with two 80edays buses. Furthermore, the Hungarian-developed electric bus showed the world that electro mobility is accessible for everyone in public transportation as well.

The 80edays around-the-world electric car rally (11 EVs) set up a new world record. The teams successfully completed the navigation trip and drove the total of 289.662 kms. together across Europe, North America, and Asia with 100% electric vehicles, including the time in cross-continental transportation. At the finish line the teams were warmly welcomed and congratulated by Professor Gunter Pauli a.k.a. “The Steve Jobs of Sustainability”.  The crews had plenty of challenges on their way but successfully made their way home.

Overall, the Hungarian invented #Modulo #electricBus has successfully completed the North-American and European sections of the 80edays. The race also served as to promote awareness of sustainable transportation, fast, comfortable, silent, environmentally friendly.

More to it … rewriting the automotive history and proving the capabilities of modern electric vehicles have already become an essential part of our lives.

THE RUSSIAN SWAN LAKE BALLET – EXPERIENCE OF ROMANCE AND DRAMA – BUDAPEST – 2014.

letöltés

The gem of Russian Swan Lake Ballet from Moscow will be presenting an unforgettable  moments for any age!

Sunday, November, 23. 2014.

Papp László Budapest Arena

District, XIV. 2., Stefánia Rd. Budapest

3 p.m. and 7 p.m. will be shown!

The performance of Swan Lake will be staged in Budapest by twice sixty-minute act. The presentation is based upon the Director, who died last year, Victor Smirnov-Golovanov. Costumes by Elisaveta Dvorkina.

Swan Lake is ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, was composed in 1875–1876. The scenario fashioned upon a Russian folk tale and tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse.

Moscow City Ballet is currently at its outstanding artistic best. Been around the four corners of the Earth … mentioning  a couple of places … United Kingdom, Israel, Dubai, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy Sweden, Mexico, United Arab Emirates , Finland, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy Sweden, Mexico, and  ongoing winning new invitations to perform internationally. The orchestra, choreography, interpretation, beauty and outstanding virtuoso performance won the souls wherever they floated on stage. Most probably at their Budapest performances by the Moscow City dancers will add emotions to that magical ingredient of the essence of Russian culture aswell.

Tchaikovsky’s magical tale is of mystery and romance with spellbinding ballet dancing by the Moscow city Ballet. The Swan Lake is a masterpiece of classical ballet and should be experienced at least once in one’s lifetime.

Be ready for having goose pimps several occasion during at the  performance of the gems!

… Just adding a piece of background to Tchaikovsky and the tale itself. The composer recalled and had a great interest in the life story of Bavarian King Ludwig II, whose tragic life had supposedly been marked by the sign of Swan and (who either consciously or not) was chosen as the prototype of the dreamer Prince Siegfried.). More background to the full story can be see visiting the Castle of Neuschwanstein in Bavaria  … but that is another piece of journey.
