„SIRHA” – HUNGEXPO – INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION, INTERNATIONAL CUISINE WITH HUNGARIAN FLAVORS

More than 250 exhibitors from over 15 countries  at 10,000 square meters, with a variety of professional culinary programs, between March, 10-12. 2014., at the HUNGEXPO – Budapest – Hungary.

On March, 4., a  press conference was held at the Sofitel Hotel , Budapest to spread the news of one of biggest exhibition and fair to Open it’s gate at the HUNGEXPO – Budapest. The press gathering  was held by: CEO  Gábor Ganczer – HUNGEXPO Ltd.,  Imre Horvath – CEO of METRO Ltd. , dr. Peter Simon –  Deputy general manager of the Hungarian National Tourist Office , Zoltan Hamvas – President of the Hungarian Academy of Bocuse d’Or , Zsuzsanna Hermann – Editor Trade magazine, Ms. Klára Tihanyi a media partner of the exhibition, Director of the exhibition , and Zoltan Kolonics – „SIRHA”  Ambassador confectionery.  In addition to domestic firms, 20% of the exhibitors  are arriving from abroad.

TUNISIA TRAVEL TEMPT THE HUNGARIANS

The annual Hungary’s largest Tourism Trade Show and Exhibition took place at the Hungexpo … letting folks to go around five continent within a week-end. Getting to know close and far countries culture, the beauty that lies in them and the trade marks in their gastronomy.

Uncountable discount offers of domestic and international travel were at the visitors fingertips.

At the Travel Exhibition was Tunisia as the guest of honor  and at their press conference reported the country’s concept of unified marketing. Tunisia’s ambassador to Hungary- Abderraouf Betbaieb said that much thanks to the our country because of the support from Hungary during the course of the transition to democracy.

Ben Zakour Leith –  Director of the Tunisian National Tourism Office, said that with pleasure by saying “Tunisia reopened tourism representation in Budapest”. This year, new approach set to develop the image of Tunisia and Promote the country, and do their best to raise awareness to Hungarians towards Tunisia as a destinations. Within the media promotion he wished to present and introduce in a creative way how anyone to visit Tunisia can relax and explore in one day traveling  from North to South… from East to West exploring different venues, for example, can bath at sunrise in the morning on the Island of Djerba …  traveling during the afternoon hours trekking riding on a camel in the Sahara -… spending time in the land of culture at ancient Carthage …  splashing into the Sea and enjoying the sandy seashore … participating at traditional folklore shows …  excluding the day having a Thalassa therapy treat. ALL IN ONE DAY! Mr. Leith also added: Quote: ” a large-scale advertising campaign will begin from May through  Hungary’s commercial televisions and online sites. Also on tram in Budapest line number 4 and 6  as well as the number 47 and 49 will advertise Tunisia’s tourist attractions. Among the agency’s medium-term plans are that by 2016 the number of Hungarian visitors  to Tunisia will reach the number of fifty thousand.”

At the Tunisia booth, fashion show of gorgeous folk art outfits, as a gift, a  Tunisians artist wrote Hungarians names in arabic language, which was a great success and having the Tunisians musicians and dancers holding a short performance to please the audience.

Last but not least, the Tunisian Ambassador to Hungary invited the media representatives to the Budapest’s  Amphitheater of the French Institute  to the Tunisian National Folklore Ensemble evening’s show combined with Tunisian snacks and indeed a very tasty fruit liquor and wine from Tunisia. This event was  an arrangement within the frameworks of the Francophone  Festival.

THE LIFE AND WORKS OF WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS – ENGLISH LANGUAGE EXHIBITION OPENING IN BUDAPEST

„The Life and Works of William Butler Yeats.”

The exhibition will be opened by His Excellency Kevin Dowling, Ireland’s Ambassador to Hungary.

Also during the event, the Yeats Society of Hungary will be introduced by Mr. Patrick Molnár.

The English-language exhibition in Hungary is to be the first presented to see, introducing the life of Yeats, the poet and writer born in Dublin, 13 June, 1865 – January, 28. 1939.  (He was the foremost figures of 20th century literature. A pillar of both the Irish and British literary. Also served as an Irish Senator for two terms. Yeats with others along founded the Abbey Theater where he worked as its chief during its early years. In 1923 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature as the first Irishman. Yeats is generally considered as one of the few writers who completed their greatest works after being awarded the Nobel Prize. Yeats was a very good friend of American expatriate poet and Bollingen Prize laureate Ezra Pound. Yeats wrote the introduction for Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali, which was published by the India Society.

He finished his education years in Dublin and in London. He studied poetry in his youth and from an early age was fascinated by both Irish legends and the occult. Those topics feature in the first phase of his work, which lasted roughly until the turn of the 20th century. His earliest volume of verse was published in 1889. From 1900, Yeats’s poetry grew more physical and realistic. He largely renounced the transcendental beliefs of his youth, though he remained preoccupied with physical and spiritual masks, as well as with cyclical theories of life. … source:wikipedia )

HUNGEXPO – 37 TRAVEL EXHIBITION IN BUDAPEST – DOMESTIC CITY OF PÉCS AS THE GUEST OF HONOR

On Thursday, February, 27. 2014. at the HUNGEXPO opened its door to the 37 Travel Exhibition in Budapest. Approximately, 500 exhibitors showcasing  on a platform of  30.000 square-meters. Hungary’s most prestigious tourism event of the Year! The domestic city as the guest of honor was chosen from cities in competition by the received materials. Upon  reviewing the candidates,  the finalist as the guest of honor of this year’s Travel Exhibition the city of Pécs was nominated. It may be visited at the 311-booth for those interested to learn more about the city of a handful of offers. Zsolt Páva, mayor of Pécs on Thursday greeted the visitors on the spot arriving to the opening ceremony saying the following:Quote: „Pécs is proud to be the guest of honor at this year’s Travel Exhibition. Pécs earned its title with so many attractions to be visited. Pécs was the European Capital of Culture in 2010., and since then many changes, developments were carried out in the city.This process has not stopped, in 2014 a large-scale developments are taking place in Pécs. As an example, the Cathedral renewal, a look-out for the recovery of the fourth tower, the Museum of Csontváry on reconstruction, modernization of the zoo, and the recently re-opened underground wells citations Mining Museum”.  István Márta, Managing Director, Zsolnay Heritage Management Ltd., saying it is worthwhile to visit Pécs packed with so many sites to see and was glad to say, more guests spend the time even staying an overnight, because thanks to the cultural development of the city, offers many attractions for all age of visitors.  Also talked about the city not only  being a city of cultural heritage, but also having a number of  technological innovations  to offer. BUDAPEST’S HALF MARATHON RENAMED TO W!ZZ AIR BUDAPEST HALF MARATHON!

DONATION BY PROCTER & GAMBLE TO DOMESTIC JUNIOR ICE HOCKEY TEAMS

Eight million Hungarian Forint, donated by Procter & Gamble to domestic junior hockey teams and sports developments.

During The late morning hours on February, 26. media representatives were called to a press conference held by the representatives of the Procter & Gamble, Tesco Hungary and the Hungarian Olympic Committee. It was a special day for the junior hockey members gathering from  nationwide with 5 teams. Their clubs received a grant of a total of eight million HUF of support to purchase new sports tools, equipments and for expansion in developing the club’s sport facilities.

The P & G existence is present for over 175 years  and has developed the largest campaign of the Thank-you Mom! program. It had  implemented within the framework of which the company’s enduring tribute to their support, commitment and dedication  to the mothers. P & G  in addition to their support the initiative of the Hungarian hockey supply has set aside cca. 25 million USD to support the youth sports. As a result of the program, the company has provided the world with around eight million USD in grants through its brands. Bencze Szabó, MOB – former Hungarian fencer, who has won four Olympic medals in the sabre competitions. He told a story of his own experience by saying , Quote: “When I started fencing my trainer said to me, I am giving you 90% of knowledge, you put 10% of  yourself in the game. When I won my first Olympic Game my trainer told me, now you are at 90% of your knowledge and I am 10% in supporting you.” This example was for the young ice hockey players to keep in mind as to reach the high level in hockey player.

The awarded teams were by previously selected on the basis of the Hungarian Olympic Committee MOB. The five national junior ice hockey teams received a symbolic check of the amount of eight million Hungarian Forint supported by the Procter & Gamble, Tesco Hungary and the MOB leaders and the Campaign Sporting Ambassador, Mr. Levente Szuper.

Returning from Sochi XXI Winter Olympic Games, Gábor Milan Szabó – cross-country the P & G Thank you Mom ! campaign sports ambassador was present with his mother, Maria Anna Szabó, who was by the support of the P & G  present at Sochi with Milan, her husband and her elder son. As Milan recalled it was special day for him and gave him mighty support having his family at his finish. Gave a lot of energy, nothing can be compared to it. The athlete at the press conference received from the representative of the P & G a unique, custom-made Hungarian flag. As Milan had a glance on it, much to his surprise saw sms messages written to him. The greeting and cheer messages were copied from the P & G community site written by Milan fans during the Games.

The press gathering ended by the P & G Mini Cup game. After the press conference,  HC Kiskörös Ice Knights – Veszprém, Seals of the Crescent – Jászberény and the mighty KSI – Budapest  ice hockey team members, aged between 6 to 8 shown a 4 minute demo of their game. On the spot we witnessed their talent and knowledge and at the end of the five team’s game in the context of their knowledge the P & G awarded them with a Mini Cup medalLevente Szuper – former ice hockey goalie, to-day  works as a manager at one of Budapest’s  junior hockey club. Milán Gábor Szabó rewarded every player with the symbol of the P & G Mini Cup gold medal. The 6 to 8 years junior players were moved and watched each other with eyes wide open as the gold medal were handed over and each one-by-one was told perseverance encouraged to believe in themselves that one day they too will be an athlete, the future Olympians, who will say thank-you to their mother for all the support and care they received on the road to sport.

The press conference was presented by P & G consumer promotion program of short films, which the “Thank you Mom” campaign this year’s critically acclaimed film, “Back To Pick Them Up!  – “Never to give up”. The film shows the everyday life of a sporty little ice hockey student in the company of Levente  Szuper. At the same time should not be missing the most important message of “Thank you Mom!” Yes, the sporty family is huge wherever you go around the world. An athlete’s life play a major role in the parents., especially the caring Mother! The Mother’s heart and soul will be always beating as one with her child. When they are small, the mother is the one to hand the good-night hot chocolate – wishing sweet dreams. When they grow up and out at games the mother is there supporting the „grown up child” by encourage,  persistent support, devotion, emotion, care and cheers. Of course the whole family in capital letters is also half way to success.

MISS COLOURS INTERNATIONAL WHEELCHAIR BEAUTY CONTEST 2014.

The eight finalists of Miss Colours Hungary – 2014., have had been chosen on February 22. at the City Park Cafe & Bar apart of the Ice Rink’s in the beautiful neo-baroque building  The competition this year for the first time, thanks to the Rotary Club of Budapest and the Center co-operation, has been released and published internationally. Calls arrived from six countries and 16 candidates were invited from Hungary, Romania, Bosnia – Herzegovina, Mexico, Bolivia, Ukraine. A total of 50 applications arrived. The jury members, interviewed each applicant, by having a short conversation through “appearance via Skype” through an interpreter. The semi-final jury consisting of Bernadett Mrázik – Colours Rehab Ltd – organizer, Dorottya Balló – Rotary Club – Budapest Center,  Vanda Vasas – Colours Miss Hungary 2013, Nóra Nemes – Choreographer, Ferenc Rákóczi – presenter, had chosen ont he spot the 8 semi-final ladies, who were:  Tünde Ferenczi  – 36 years old, Alcsútdoboz – Hobbies: wheelchair dancing, Zumba. „”If I would have the chance, I would tell the people who are so full-fledged human being can live. Exemplary for those who do not know that a woman can be so nice and pretty. To me it would mean the removal of obstacles that would stop the people from the kind of obstacles, which can not or do not want to converge.”  Kinga Ilyés – 31 years old, from Romania, Harghita County – Hobbies: painting, furniture painting, listening to music. „”I think the issue of accessibility can be carried forward if „we wheelchair individuals participate as often as we can in the social life. I think that the society is open to create the necessary conditions for equality, and be informed when we are needy.” Marcia Andrea Cornejo Vargas – 28 years old, from Bolivia – Hobbies: graphic design, singing. “I am currently dealing with graphic and creative design. My dream would come true to be able to come to Hungary and participate at the Miss Colours Contest.”  Valeria Leonova – 22 years, from Ukraine  – Hobbies: handwork, modeling, weightlifting. Paraolimpic swimmer, participated at the Beijing and London Olympics Games. “Born without legs, with conjoined fingers, but it’s never hindered me almost from anything. I swim competitively for more than eight years, thanks to which I got a lot of opportunities. During my travels, I found that it is easier for those living abroad who are in wheelchairs, since they are already in place to meet these requirements means, therefore, more mobile, more courageous, which promotes social inclusion as well. I would like to achieve the same in Hungary.” She also mentioned, being travelling around the world, she found out that in Miami they deal  a lot for the wheelchair users in the traffic routes, passageways as being constructed  in a manner for environment friendly for folks in use of wheelchair. Hadarag Paula Andrea 22 years old, from Romania  – Hobbies: reading, handwork.” I am disabled since 2009. I think that the wheelchair ladies can be just as beautiful and irradiated as intact counterparts, but beside their beauty we are advantage in being very strong.” Judith Horváth Pálfi – 46 years old, from Veresegyháza  – Hobbies: sports, reading, cinema, theater. „In 1992 had a car accident, broke my spine, so I got a wheelchair. As a fencer I attended five Olympics and I have achieved great success. Would consider it important in the rehabilitation of sports presentation of the more recent victims, and if possible pre-school and school integration”

Needn’t have to travel 80 days around the World… because at the year’s biggest tourism fair located at Hungexpo Fair Center is just about to open. Anyone visiting the fair can make it to have a peak at several country’s attractions, gastronomy or culture, then after chose which one … places they wish to explore in the forthcoming seasons.

One of the highlights for the visitors of this year beside the discount travel offers may have the luck to be rolling along as a Globe Hikers, by taking part within exciting games, whereas valuable prizes are to be won.

This year, nearly 30 exhibitors  and 500 exhibitors will be present offering their deals.

In 2014 the foreign country guest of honor will be Tunisia and the representatives will be holding plays, craft and theatrical programs, dance presentations and fashion shows to get to know more about their cultures. National honor guest from arriving from the City of Pécs.  Representing Hungary’s Culture, the guest of honor will be coming from the Matyóland (Matyóföld).

This year the fair features last year’s successful Tourism Communication Award competition, the public games, thematic islands and the online meeting calendar as well. Whilst rolling along the travel fair, can be visited the other held trade shows as: Caravan Salon, Vital Port.hu Expo and Bike Expo.

Travel Tourism Communication Award competition. The TRAVEL Tourism Communication Award was granted within the aim to encourage effective communication about the domestic tourism operators and the dissemination of best marketing communication activities with the public and the profession. The goal remains the same as last year , whereas  the organizers have also created opportunities to course work. Proposals will be evaluated by a professional jury, consisting of representatives of the Hungarian National Tourist Office, Tourism Ltd, the Hungarian Marketing Association and the HUNGEXPO representatives. Participation to the daily conference is free of charge, but registration and a valid ticket to the Travel Fair is required. Mind you, these lectures are held in Hungarian language! Upon the end of the Travel Fair, on  February, 27., at the After Party the winners will be announced.

VIII. Caravan Salon … view the exhibition at the “D”  pavilion. This year’s attractions include the RV with a trunk of an electric Smart car which holds and present the (BIWA) residential  trailer.

Meanwhile, waiting for the Prize Draw on the  March, 1 and 2., don’t miss the daily belly dance show at the Majoros International (stand A 313/B) by 4 dancers performing regional folk music, named “liscio” and modern music. The modern musics are the ones in general by dance animators, usually holding at hotels entertainment night-shows for the tourists. Also the visitors will be able to create original wine labels using their own pictures by an E-infoterminal during the whole period of the exhibition.

Talking about Hungarian food … many miss their Mum’s cooking, needn’t have to be sad, cause most of the restaurants during the National Restaurant Week will prepare their dishes  that will  bring back the home tastes which haven’t been forgotten.

HUNGARY WILL BE IN THE MOOD TO GO ON A RIDE, ENJOYING THE HUNGARIAN AND INTERNATIONAL DISHES DURING THE NATIONAL RESTAURANT WEEK!

Beside Budapest, throughout the country list of five best Hungarian speech-enhancing wines will be in company. At the Robinson  the meals  will be in company brought from the Borbély Family Winery. Main courses: BBQ spare ribs, Robinson steak potatoes … Pappardelle, gorgonzola and pears, stripes of beef tenderloin … Chicken ”stew”, cottage dumplings, cucumber salad. Desserts: Floating islands … Chocolate cake, dried apricots with vanilla … Robinson profiteer.

Last but not least, after each-and-every dish ,  noble wines  from the Borbély Family Cellars were supplied to the invited press individuals. Must say a grand selection of wines.
