Among the distinguished guest were directors oat institutions, representatives of libraries, culture center from different parts of Hungary. They received in recognition the certificate of merit to their whole year’s activities in keeping the light on the Hungary Culture Traditions.

January, 22 is the anniversary date of the birth of the Hungarian National Anthem – „Szózat”, written in 1823 by famous poet Ferenc Kölcsey who finished the manuscript of the anthem on this day at Cseke.

At the City of Gyula is located the Anthem – “Szozat” ...  the only saved original manuscript.

The Hungarian cultural and art institutes around the world are also preparing special events to commemorate the day and to pay more attention to Hungarian millennial traditions, also to the roots and strengthening of national identity.

On January, 22., hundreds of events are held throughout the 4-days in several parts of the country since 1989.

Also at numerous worldwide cities, for example it is also 4-days annual Celebrating the cultural festival at the Temple Bar in Dublin. The Hungarian – Australians gather in Sydney to also within a festival  celebrate the Hungarian cultural which brings together hundreds of members of the Hungarian community from across Australia.

It is also a 4-days event and over these days, the community holds exploring aspects of Hungarian history, language, lectures of famous figures e.g.  László József Bíró, inventor of the “Biró” pen. Furthermore, showing how the culture tradition is kept thousands of kilometers Downunder, is a good example of the 31-year-old man from Békéscsaba who teach the village folk dances from the age of five.

Above these values are important to invoke to the next generation and indeed shows that across the country is experienced the number of more and more people to have had enrolled back to the libraries and also increased the visitors at the museums.

Writer’s Note … Some says that the „The Hungarian folk dance is better than the gym.” …  It is alike the pudding test … you have to give it a try!

Over ten thousand people came to witness to-day’s biggest Hungarian musical production … Talking about none other than the Palladio Orchestra who for the first time held a magnificent concert at the Papp Laszlo Sports Arena at Budapest.

Definitely, was a huge success for the Orchestra at their first appearance, and influence the audience watching, strumming across the strings, hearing 100 guitarists .  The Palladio Orchestra did not only gave a virtuoso performances, but their talent was recognized by the audience huge applause at each of their presentations. Within the Palladio Orchestra 43 Hungarian and 60 guitar players from the Kiev’s ochestra participated same time. Altogether 10 soloists, 90 rhythm guitarists, two singers and one DJ. During entertained the audience

The show was superb with the catchy songs as the strings brought the accords of Beethoven Pharrell Williams, Queen, best-known movie soundtracks. At the arena the special musical world came alive with rarely seen accompanied high-quality visuals. The precision design highlighted the evening.

Pre to each music the projector was driven back in time, introduced  the year of origins  and singers. For many an awesome way to stroll back in time  to the History in Music. Was much surprise to see some of the so thought original songs were from the early years of the 20th century.

Around two years ago idea to put together a huge group of guitarist. At the time being was a distinguished thought.

Reality from fantasy came alive and  during the last days of 2016 the Palladio Orchestra did it and entertained locals and foreigners in Hungary and hopefully the audience a broad in other cities in Europe will enjoy  the Palladio spreading their awesome show.

If your footsteps have not yet reached the Saint Steven Square in Budapest to be at the Advent at the Basilica, then will be sorry for skipping time out. There is still one more chance to have a superb ball on the 31st of December and on the 1st day of the New Year.

For all sence will be pleasure … on the first day of the New Year’s holiday in addition the stalls will offer plenty of street food along with the hot cocktails.  The light painting countdown to welcome 2017 offers locals and foreigners all the goodie foods made from lens on the 1st of January. This is a tradition, not only our wallets, but also as an aphrodisiac of love lives … “upload yourself”. We all feel that our life is especially important in the New Year period, we vow, we try to establish the New Year with good luck as well. As a tradition on the first day of the new year eat lentils, it symbolize not to have empty our wallet throughout the year. Superstitions strength lies in the fact that many small frontal stands as a symbol of money.

The ancient Greeks particularly liked the lentil soup and as known was primarily food of the poor and among the nobility did not become popular.

It is considered an aphrodisiac, Aphrodite by the Greeks since antiquity, one of the symbols of the goddess of love was considered… and ont he other hand the lentil works good to our health because it contains antioxidants, high in fiber, low on fat, an excellent source of vegetable protein and stimulates the immune system.

On New Year’s Eve no-one will be disappointed at the Basilica feast, where on this day not only the mulled wine will pay the main role. The party starter goes with sparkling wines or assort of fruity pálinka drinks and orange fooled punch, hot cocktails and for the tough folks may give it a try to even the 60% of Pálinka. Naturally, will go on the 3D light painting on the walls of the Basilica and music all night.

The ice rink still will be awaiting children under 14 years old with ice-skate renting option at hand.

Make the St. Stephen Square the main meeting point in Budapest to get together with family and friends. Enjoy the bustle and where each minute will be a real treat.
