The 4th International Day of Yoga and 3rd Ganga-Danube: Cultural Festival of India

The 4th International Day of Yoga & 3rd Ganga-Danube: Cultural Festival of India is coming up again thanks to the awesome support, initiative by Indian Embassy in Hungary.

On June 21, we celebrate International Yoga Day worldwide.

The following the successes of the past three years, the Hungarian Embassy in India working together with local prominent yoga schools with different programs to draw attention to the health conscious life style among the people who follow India’s traditions, all the arts, both in the field of ancient healing.

The festival will be rolling in throughout 21 cities in Hungary! It will be a Week-End full of Yoga, Indian Dance, Music, Food, Henna and much more! Do not be surprised in the cities below when hearing traditional music from India.

Here are the cities to join Enjoy – Yoga: Saturday, June, 23. at the Margaret Island Athletic Center (Margitszigeti Atlétikai Centrum) – Budapest. Outside the Capital same timing at different cities from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. may join the Yoga Festival at the following venues: Alsóörs, Balatonfüred, Békécsaba, Eger, Esztergom, Kecskemét, Miskolc, Nagykanizsa, Nagykőrös, Nyíregyháza, Somogyvámos (Krisna Valley), Sopron, Szeged, Szentendre, Veszprém and Zalakaros.

Sunday,  June, 24.,  the Yoga goes on at  the cities of: Pécs, Sárvár, Debrecen and Győr during: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

During this year’s holiday series, local yoga schools will showcase the ancient practice of yoga, which has a Common Protocol called Yoga. The program is jointly Ankita Sood yoga expert who worked in the local schools of yoga, who is the Embassy of India, Yoga expert delegate to Budapest.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will send two ensemble this year’s festival; 10-member Namame Gange Bharatnatyam Society and 10-member Manipuri Folk Dance Group.

NamameGange Bharatnatyam dance troupe perform a dramatic choreography of India’s holiest river, the Ganges what has been revered as sacred since ancient times and is culturally dominant for the whole of India. The topic of the lecture India and Hungary symbolic cultural integration via the two rivers, the Danube and the historic holy Ganges.

Manipuri folk dance group – Cholet Pung, which is a big artistic rarities and specially choreographed stage show. This is the first time that North East India folk dance group coming to Hungary.

Music and dance programs, public yoga classes will be organized by the Indian Embassy of the aforementioned cities across the country. There will be Bollywood film screenings as well. Indian art in high levels experienced Hungarian artists are also included in the series of programs

To participate at any of the a/m cities is free of charge. Everyone who already practise Yoga and the newcomers, interested in the India traditional culture are more than welcome.

Visit „Night of the Museum” – Budapest and throughout Hungary – 2016.

This year in Budapest 60, at the city of Kecskemét 11 and at other regions cities 129 museums joined the program. The organisers announced there will be a call for applications for this year’s Night of the Museums in Kecskemét. These will motivate those public collections and galleries participating in the Night of the Museums to provide the richest offer of programs. The most innovative initiatives program will also be receiving the “public choice award”. The “Museum Night” starting off at noontime on June, 25. 2016 and ends 2.30 a.m. Some highlight places sure to be visited are: Bozsó collection, the International Ceramics Studio, the Photographic Museum and Leskowsky Instrument Collection  and other 47 locations await visitors this night. The venues can be reached back-and-forth on the local popular retro buses.

The theme of this year’s Night of the Museums is namely  “Heros, explorers, innovators” and its “Capital” is at the City of Kecskemét. It was the home town of József Katona, the writer of Bánk Bán – the message of patriotism. This year Hero Training – Hősképző will operate whist playing detective, and a number of other challenges and adventures await visitors to the museum that night. At the Deri Museum in Debrecen throughout the day the play’s heroes will encounter while remembering József Katona – Bank Ban and Melinda figure  when-and-where all over the city  the sharp-eyed visitors can catch a hold  of the pops up figures.

This year will be running in  Budapest as usually  BKK Museum Bus, which can make use of the  wristband holders. The buses take the visitors to seven different routes between  6 p.m. – 2.30 a.m. Visitors arriving to the Budapest’s museum may travel by the use of MÁV-START Zrt. or the GYSEV trains with 50% of casual round off the country from any domestic station of Budapest, Debrecen, Nagykanizsa, Szeged, Szombathely and Kecskemét trains arriving on June 25 evening until early the next morning. The discount ticketing options and usage conditions of the detailed information found at the MÁV group’s website  www.mavcsoport.hu. In Budapest for the first time, namely environmental consciousness – electric cars will run between the smaller museums in the flagship event sponsor by E.ON.

The wristbands can be purchased at the Budapest museums participating in the program and locations, or co-operating partners of the event  also at the station’s ticket booth of  the BKK – Budapest Transport  Center. With the valid  wrist strap all the affiliated institutions in Budapest and outside the capital participating museums  can ride  to inspect the permanent and temporary exhibitions.  Better to keep in mind to the fact that some institutions are bound by the pre-registration entry due to limited spaces. Region admission tickets to local museums can be bought at the cities museums box office.

Day2 – Travel – 2016. Hungexpo – Budapest – Hungary

Spending pretty much time at the Travel Fair would like to share some collected information for those who could make it to be around during the time being!

Visit Italy –  visitors to the Italian stand were warmly welcomed by fully information about the whereabouts to spend their vacation, offering 4star hotel at Park Gallanti Village, or for families, friends at the Ferrari Lido on the white sandy beach for all age. The selection of accomodation is wide to choose from a real recharge for one who would like to spend their holidays at modern greenery venue within reach from the sea. Was told the at the stand the Park Gallanti Village is a combination of wellbeing oases … real relaxation for both body and mind. They offered real Italian coffee, pizza cheese and wrapped with Italian ham.The visitors were treated with true Italian hospitality, received real Italian coffee, cheese and Italian ham rolled in pizza.

Visit Indonesia cannot be to roam around all the islands  having more than 17 thousand of islands, but to  choose spot to have the flavor of their rich culture, waves to surf, deep blue pristine seas swimming with the  dolphins, dugongs or the large mantrays, white sandy  beaches, rainforest – for instance at Sumatra where indeed also rich in arts  and crafts, tradition dances and music is worthwhile  heard as a drop of information gained at the Travel  2016 – Hungexpo  Fair. For those planning to visit the Islands, heard not to be missed the Komodo Island to see one of the real wonder of the world, the Komodo Dragon at the National Park. Once they lived  across Indonesia and Australia. These large  lizzards body size remained the same for over 3,8 million years. So to get a little shiver of seeing these creature in several movies one can see them in real size. Mentioning a couple of sites  to see beside Budapest, because Hungary is not just all about events in the Capital …

Visit Gyula … shortly March,11-15 the city will hold a real Sodar festival. Smoked flavors and aroma will fill the area. During the long-weekend will be the VI. Gyulai Sausage “Sódarmustra” – culinary festival.  Taste not only the sausages,  but purchase the local producers real meat preparations for Easter, directly from farmers. In addition to the range of delicious meat products armies entertainment are waiting for those who spend a long weekend to Visit Gyula. Each day during the festival can choose among several programs.  There will be something for everyone! Programs for small and younger children as spending time with arts and crafts, theme park awaits for all age.

Probably may already know that at the four corners of Hungary  is rich in the land of hot thermal water with medical treatments.

Lenti –  is a place of jewelry box of health. Earth energy waves were discovered in Lenti Thermal Spa in 2002. On the territory of Lenti Thermal Spa the Saint George Energy Park, which is unique in Europe, is situated at the meeting point of energy lines with beneficial effects. Here guests can find more efficient recreation, fulfillment, and healing due to the combined impact of the spa and this special energetic place. The types of Earth waves, i.e. Saint George lines, were called Dragon Currents in Eastern cultures. In ancient cultures, these types of Earth lines or “neural currents” were worshiped as saints. At the intersections of such lines, sacred places were built such as Stonehenge, Lourdes, Fatima, Machu Picchu, the Egyptian pyramids or churches in the Árpád era.

Zalakaros   is situated in the vicinity of the Little  Lake Balaton, organizing attractive and diverse programs, events and festivals, but also plenty of  spa programs and event.  A family friendly place with  a land of  Waterworld, playhouse, mini adventure park, children can watch the Waterworld from a tower, and there is also climbing wall, playground, nursing room, a kitchen and a changing room for the babies.

BócsaVincze Riding Center offers a wide range of possibilities for riding sport lovers … training, riding tours, horse-drawn coach or slate excursions, riding camps, as well as therapeutical riding instruction. Besides all these, they are engaged in breeding and training of price winning horses. The Vincze Riding Center is situated in Bócsa, about 100 kms. from Budapest, located in the Kiskunság National Park. The dunes and steppes of Bócsa-Bugac venue  having sand plains, dunes, sodic lakes and marshes, make it one of the most complex areas of the national park.

Nagykanizsa  – At the representatives booth was testing by tasting the „Kanizsai dödölle„ Typical regional folk pasta. This year will be held for the 11th time the Kanizsai dödölle and Wine Festival – September, 9-10. 2016., which is famous for its folk Zala Country’s food. During the festival will be  held cooking competition between amateur and professional chefs, a battle to win the wine’s title called „Dalnoki”  and colorful programs for children and adults. For locals and foreigners not o be missed!

Original Finnish Santa Claus Joulupukki arrival to Budapest – Hungary

The Original Finnish Santa Claus Joulupukki arriving for the 13th occasion to Hungary! Saturday, November, 28. 2015.

Joulupukki’s visit to Hungary is organized by Finnagora, and Finnish Institute in Budapest.

The Original Finnish Santa Claus arrives for the 13th time to Hungary in the end of November 2015. Santa Claus, or Joulupukki as the Finnish children call him, comes straight  from the Lappish town of Rovaniemi not on  his sledge, but with the support of  the Finnish Airline – Finnair.

Joulupukki has been visiting Hungary since 2002. Already, brought happiness and smiles to thousands-and-thousand of children. He has been visiting several towns and cities throughout Hungary.

During his nine-day stay in Hungary, spreading the Xmas spirit to everyone. In addition to the public events, Joulupukki is also going to visit schools and orphanages. On his schedule will be visiting several cities and towns as: Surd and Zalaszentbalázs, Nagykanizsa, Pécs, Komló, Geresdlak, Ajka and Veszprém.

In Budapest children with their families may meet him in the Shoebox Castle, the Hungarian Baptist Aid venue at the Deák Square and at the Christmas Market – Downtown – Vörösmarty Square.

National Wine Marathon starting on May, 23. 2015. – Hungary

Want to be in charge for yourself in running … Beat it at the National Wine Marathon – Hungary!

Enter to one of the biggest social experience to promise all sports and the wine lovers!

Hungary is known as to be the Nation of Equestrian … and as a reminder Hungary is the only country in Europe which stands also within incredibly rich in Hot Mineral Baths, so Nation of Spas … another reason not letting go, keeping this information mind … now to prove it is also a Nation of Wines!

National Wine Marathon starting on May, 23. 2015, for 11 days covering settlements of the 22 wine regions of Hungary.

An interim press conference regarding to this coming up grandiose event was held at the Buda-side of Budapest at the Little Judge  (KisBiró) Restaurant,  opened by Dezső Dobor – press chief and program director Attila Balla who reported on the progress achieved, and presented the key locations of  the 11 days run and introduced the new member sponsors. Also representing the National Wine Marathon were present: Kristian Kielmaye, Gábor Barátossy, Dr. Zsombor Sümeg, Balázs Győrffy, László Dobák, Ágnes Herczeg, Imre Dlusztus.  Dezső Dobor – press chief also announced President dr. János Áder agreed to patronage the event, and the Defence Minister dr. Csaba Hende to be also as patron, who will  personally join the National Wine Marathon.

The National Wine Marathon is extremely rich, and the distance  to run is more than plenty. As said within the 11 days,  total of 2573 km … 264Hs … 7 marathon … 6 half marathon. Passing through Hungary as one continuous area in  Vineland  will be over the length of 100 villages.)

There is no certain age limit, but have to keep in mind the delicious bottle of wine will only be handled over to participants above the age of 18. Entrants under 18 years will receive mineral water, fruit juice. Here is a bunch of the names of those official locations  to count on … count in “Stand On Your Marks! Get Set! Go!”

To run any marathon for the first time would rank as a great life experience. The distance from one village to the other reassured in the length of distance, the different routes will show some of the world’s most famous vineyards on the way and will make this adventure special for those running as a „wine nut”. Also at these events will gather the leading personalities of region’s wine-makers who will offer their best products to the runners and visitors. Definitely, an experience to learn about the great wines of Hungary. Also not just for runners, the visitors and guests can enjoy folklore parade as they try tasting various wine brands and enjoying their time around with local music and much fun the villages will offer. A fine time in meeting local folks in and on the way will most probably build new connection.

Each registrants will receive an application package from the National Wine Marathon organizers with the following content: 1pc running uniform, 1pc National Wine Marathon partner card, 1pc National Wine Marathon medal finish, 1pc RFID, wristband timer or timer chip, 1 bottle of wine from the specific wine region, affecting the actual running distance, also other sponsorship offerings such as credit coupons.

At the wine-making scene  will gather the leading personalities of regional who will offer their best products to visitors. The runners and guests can witness a folklore parade, whilst giving a try in tasting various wine brands and enjoying their time around with music and much fun.
