BUDAPEST TAXI! … PAY in BITCOINS!

Budapest Taxi held a joint press call with the CoinPay Inc., where the StarUp – Deputy CEO András Lőwy – CoinPay Inc., the COinPAY Developer, and the taxi  managing director of the company Csaba Horváth  announced the following:

The Budapest Taxi in Hungary is to be the first to introduce the CoinPay system allowing quick and secure within the system on coin-based payment.

If the purchaser has Bitcoin , and has a cell phone, he/she can use any service, for example …arriving in the cab to the destination can choose to accept their Bitcoin  wallet in the amount to want to pay for their transportation as a unique identifier, and Scan the QR code. Passengers in taxis, paying for the service with Bitcoin will come in practise from February in Budapest, said the StarUp – Deputy CEO András Lőwy – CoinPay Inc. also added, the Bitcoin’s global accessibility is one of its most important features. The taxi drivers will onwards accept Bitcoin for payment, and to use Bitcoin  does not require divulging any personal identification information to the drivers. For this reason, no criminal can get into your Bitcoin account and spend your money by simply hacking the servers of a company that you performed a transaction with.

The ATM can be directly inserted into paper money, and converted to digital cash, the device screen projected by scanning a QR code can be loaded into the electronic currency Bitcoin  wallet, a mobile phone, from where it purchases the amount to be paid.

So already in the 21st century, there are approximately 5 billion adults in the world, over 85% have mobile phones. Even the most basic of mobile phones give access to a global network of communication. Keeping that in mind, Bitcoin  makes sense for a more global form of money to exist. Bitcoin is exactly a universal, internet currency that can work on any computer or mobile phone. It does not require a credit card, bank account or the divulging of any personal identification to use or acquire. The catch is that you’re not using any government-backed fiat currency in this system, by in use of the new currency the Bitcoin  which is similar to a cash transaction for a company, that has two main advantages. First, the merchant does not have to pay a credit card company a certain % fee each time they swipe a card. Instead the cost for each merchant to accept Bitcoin and convert it to fiat is on average less than 1%, a service provided by payment processors.

Anyone with a mobile phone on this network can financially transact without the use of cash, credit cards or a bank account by simply using the SMS feature to securely send and receive monetary balances.So just with a mobile phone any two parties can now transact without a central authority, company or bank mediating the transaction and in such a way that is safe and secure, publicly known, and incontestable.

Since the debut of the CoinPay system already had joined restaurants, dentistry and tourism providers.

World’s Frozen Yogurt Day … Jono Yogo Frozen Yogurt Bar – Budapest 2016.

On the World’s  Frozen Yogurt Day many family gourmets came to the Allee Shopping Center to have a cool day, create their own yogo delights and bite into the heavenly flavors.

On this occasion media representatives and  two celeb, Eszter Iszak – VIVA TV presenter and Cinthya Dictator – photographer were invited in tasting their own creation and celebrating the Jono Yogo – Frozen Yogurt Bar’s  2nd year birthday.

In Hungary for over two years has been running the popular Jono Yogo – Frozen Yogurt Bar to make their day for the connoisseurs. These delicious yummies are now available at five major shopping center in Budapest … Arcade, Arena,  Allee, Mammut, West End. Over these two years the flavors had become increasingly popular for all age groups.

The yogurt is actually a yogurt-based ice cream, which allows for an infinite variety of different flavors. The most popular versions are the plain or added with fruits. In addition to the classic flavors as vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, lemon there are countless special variations available, such as cucumber, apple pie, dragon fruit and mentioning the very Hungarian topping, the homemade honey-walnut chip cookies. As to higher the experience for the Yogo flavors folks may enrich the yogurt with fresh fruit, or with the various sauces, seeds, muesli, dragees and many more chrunchy flavors.

For a long time only in the American films was seen shots of these frozen yogurt, or as it is called in the States the Froyo! Its popularity is partly due to the significantly to the lower fat content … though it should be known that in America it is mostly made of powder, which is less healthy, but in Hungary it is compiled on the basis of real yogurt and milk, using Hungarian confectioners ideas of Yogo’s  compared to ice cream.

Pilgrim trains from Hungary to Poland and Transylvania – 2016.

Keeping and continuing the tradition of recent years this year again takes off  the pilgrim train organized in co-operation with the

Mission Tour Travel Agency and the MÁV-Start Zrt.

The Virgin Mary pilgrim train rolls on the railway tracks to Csíksomlyó – Transylvania and to the Black Madonna –  Poland located at Czestochowa which was announced by László Budai – managing director of Mission Tours Travel Agency in Budapest at the latest press conference held at the Western Railway Station’s  – Royal Waiting Hall.  Also was told, these spiritual pilgrimage tours are occasion to recharge, community-building and strengthening foreign relations between each other  nations as well.

This year, young people with disabilities and their families will be supported to travel on the pilgrimage train told by the representative of the Ministry of Human Resources who also added those on this journey will not only have a spiritual recharge, but the ability to add strength to the struggles of everyday life.

The exact program is still being prepared, but already having  plans with concerts, interviews with  people who bear to witness their faith, adoration and contemplation.

Saint – Pope John Paul II died 10 years ago. Therefore, it is important that during the trip the pilgrims will stop to visit the newly constructed basilica named after the Polish Pope as well.

The opening words came from Andrew Heeps – Managing Director at Memory Box UK Ltd. who welcomed the huge number of visitors at the MONO Art and Design Gallery by saying Q.:

„This is very much the celebration of 50 fantastic record cover designs and all of which is very different music. So while you are here tonight see the record covers and we welcome you to look inside as well.  The records are quite interesting sleeves design inside. For example this one you can change how you want to represent the record  holds itself. (Rear view of a head)

Even this year we had some really  exceptional records. You may see actually a 3D record sleeve, so you need to put the glasses on and then you see the magical particular record sleeve this is. Thanks goes out for the MonoArt for having us back again to show these lovely record sleeves and also Victor’s compan  the opportunity to have again this exhibition here in Budapest.Hope that next year many of you will vote for your favorite record design and hopefully when we will come back next year you will see some of your favorites on the wall.”

For many people, record sleeves have the capacity to trigger memories and convey emotion in the most personal way, making them significant not only as tangible objects, but for some, as a first site of direct engagement with visual art. Each artist communicates a message or tells a visual story that speaks to the visitors at the exhibition.

The 50 best record sleeves of the year are previously shown to the Art Vinyl music-industry’s design experts. They are the individuals who select and form a list of the best 50 sleeve designs to be awarded. thereafter, goes out to global opinion on the best of contemporary art and design in music. In the end, comes the final result of 15 album covers of the year which are exhibited throughout countries in Europe and Australia. There has already been finding connection to take the annual exhibition to the United States, introduce to the local public, but not yet under the umbrella.

In the year 2015,  the Best Art Vinyl 2015, was David Gilmour’s LP “Rattle That Lock” by the Creative Corporation, art directed by Dave Stansbie in collaboration with Aubrey Powell from the legendary Hipgnosis design studio.

Previous winners have included Klaxons’ Surfing the Void with its playful image of a cat in a spacesuit, Thom Yorke’s The Eraser from regular Radiohead contributor Stanley Donwood, and even work from the sixteenth century for The Fleet Foxes eponymous LP by Dutch artist Pieter Bruegel.

Art Vinyl Display Record Frames are well-known these days around the world as Flip Frames, they can be open, and the records can be taken in hand as well.

Rolling around at the MONO Art Gallery, admiring the story-teller album covers the visitors can also listen to the records featured in the exhibition. At the exhibition the Vinylize by Tipton sunglasses and frames made of vinyl records are out on display and also can be purchased ont he spot as well.

The Tipton sunglasses were invented by Zachary Tipton who was quite disappointed by the eyewear during his teenage years. He decided to create his own taste, and framed into his own brand.  Since then his sunglasses can be purchased over 300 locations around the world, but kept a widest range of frames for Hungarian customers. A portion of these sunglasses can be also seen at the exhibition.

The real hero of Art Vinyl is on the record sleeves itself!

After London, Ayreshire and Bologna, previously before heading to Munich, the Art Vinyl exhibition featuring the best record sleeves of 2014 is arriving to Budapest!

Each year in November the Art Vinyl launches the Best Art Vinyl, researching for the most exciting record sleeves of the year. Art Vinyl, alongside music industry design experts, selects a shortlist of 50 sleeve designs for the award that will be celebrated in exhibitions around the UK and Europe during November, December, and January and then tours throughout the year! So … the exhibition will be stopping by in Budapest.
On behalf of Vinylize by Tipton and MONO art & design, for those interested to attend at the opening of the interactive Art Vinyl exhibition are welcomed. The official opening speech will be held by Andrew Heeps, founder of Best Art Vinyl.

You can not only admire but also listen to the superb records featured in the exhibition, music at the opening will be provided by DJ BODOO!

During the exhibition, Play & Display flip frames and Vinylize by Tipton sunglasses and frames made of vinyl records will be available during the exhibition, between February 4 and 28. 2016.

You do not have to be an „oldie” to be on the spot to view the awesome items and enjoy the past century’s favorite „Vinyl”s.

Many folks int he past and still to-day are addicted to passion for collecting Vinyls and maybe visiting this forthcoming exhibition they too will realize they also have a unique vinyl home gallery of their own.

Bleriot’s airplane was presented more than a hundred years ago in Budapest.

During February, 5-7. 2016.  with a reconstructed replica can be seen now and again  at the Vigadó Gallery on the ground floor.

Louis Bleriot first flew the plane he designed over the English Channel in July, 1909.

A few month  after the world sensation boarded with him to Hungary and the aircraft  was exhibited at the Budapest’s Vigadó  Gallery during the period of  October, 14 -17. 1909.

Now more than a hundred years after the original exhibition the designed Louis Bleriot re-organized reconstructed according to contemporary drawings the Bleriot XI aircraft can be seen. Visitors to the exhibition may wonder of engineering precision-designed aircraft.

Entry tickets on the spot, for Adult and Family ticket: 800HUF, Student ticket: 200HUF. Admission free of charge under the age of 14 and seniors over 70 years of age.

The IVth Fish Festival organisers together with a couple of artists, chefs and  representatives to the forthcoming festival held a press gathering at Budapest’s unique  “Big Fish” restaurant, where they introduced the programs to the IV. Fish Festival.

Day1.  beginning with „Gluttonous Friday” when 50% discount will be available fish delights at the exhibitors booths for visitors. The 50% coupon booklet can be downloaded at the „IVth Budapesti Halfesztivál” Internet site.

Day2. Continuing fish in all quantities i.e.200 domestic and international cuisine, fish delicacies. Next to the number of different species fish in the rivers and lakes of Hungary, from Párkány – Slovakia, the Fish team will be introducing their fish sausage and salami products. There will be giant catfish, and more than 50 kind of catfish-catch dentex.

Candidates  to the Fish cooking competition are welcomed and the Application Deadline is Friday, February, 5. 2016.

Also on the Fish Festival Street, fish cooking competition will be held, cooked in giant ball between chefs vs chefs namely the Chef of Szeged  and Chef of Baja cooking their city’s style of Hungarian fish soup. During the day, Giant Catfish cutting and baking, presentation of live fish in the giant aquarium, exchanging angling experience … either as a sporty activity or pastime  fishing with a rod and line, Fishing Resale.

Day3. Beside the flavored fish yummies, children’s entertainment will not be missing having programs just for them, with concert by the 100 Folk Celsius band, Trampoline Theater presenting: The Golden Fish Tale.

Fish delight lovers are all welcomed to visit the three-day event and enjoy the special experience gain at Hungary’s largest fish event. Also throughout the Fish Festival days live concerts will fill the air.

The Kamchatka bears saw their shadows at the Budapest Zoo – 2016

Upon the last day of the  3 days Bear Festival, on February 2. was the day to see at the Budapest Zoo whether the Kamchatka bears  see their shadow, meaning there will be a longer winter than expected. The Budapest Zoo’s spokesperson Zoltán Hanga welcomed the  large number of visitors, along with a clown holding a huge o’clock than rang the bell at 11  a.m. to indicated the time has come for the Kamchatka bears cave door to be opened. Adults, including many pre-school and elementary school students were curious and excited to see the two Kamchatka bears Tibor and Romulus shambling out of their cave  and  if they get spooky from their shadow.  Previously, scattered clouds shadowed the venue, but when the two of them stepped out, spots of sunshine were above, but the bears  may not have seen sharply their shadow, cause they both stayed outside.

The bears activity living in the Zoo is slightly different from their own natural wild environment, and it is very different from the widespread beliefs. Actually, the bears do not dream the winter away like hedgehogs or bats. They are less active in the wintertime, consume less food during the winter and saving energy. The bears kept in the Zoo receive the same portion of their daily meal throughout the year. They are well fed  as always. Therefore, there was no question that they will come out from their cave like on every day of the year. So, they did not have to fear from seeing their shadow. Not to mention the bears are not easily to be scared animals.

At  11 a.m. throughout Hungary the weather was completely different … some part full of sunshine, other areas  dark cloudy, some places rainy day … so on the bottom line … forehead our winter will hold on, or having in welcoming the smooth  sunny springtime … well time will tell.

One thing is certain, even though the bears weather forecasting is in practise based on averages of many years of long-term forecasting is uncertain.

If the sun shine on February, 2. 2016

The bear sightings will take place at 11 a.m. at the Kamchatka bears runway.

District, XIV. 6-12 Zoo Ave. – Budapest

According to folk tradition on February, 2., the bear comes out of the cave after having a long winter sleep, but  if  outside there will be a nice and sunny day it will be frightend of see its shadow and off it will go back to  its cave and sleep onwards.  That will mean there will be more coming cold days as the wintertime become longer.

So if there will be … ain’t no sunshine … then means, that the winter will soon be over and the mild spring shortly will arrive.

At the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden, during January, 30- February,2.  the Bear Festival will be holding several other attractions connected to the Bears for young and elder folks.

Kids under the age of 14 may enter free of charge, but they will be asked to  make  noises to growl  or  grunts or throaty calls, but most people don’t know what a  bear actually sounds like because they’re surprisingly quiet. Anyway the children can go for a try.

„Son of Saul” – Golden Globe prize for Best Foreign Film!

The „Son of Saul” – Hungarian Holocaust Drama. 

Won this year the Golden Globe  prize for Best Foreign Film!

Hungarian director László Nemes accepted the Best Foreign Language Film prize for his movie Son of Saul at the Golden Globe awards ceremony on Sunday night, January, 10. 2016. in Los Angeles.

After receiving the statuette he said, that the Holocaust has become over the years an abstraction and for him it is more than justn a face, it is a human face and should not forget that face.  The concentration camp drama is the first Hungarian production to win the award. The Golden Globes, selected by the Los Angeles Film Critics Circle.

Film depicts a member of the Sonderkommando at Auschwitz-Birkenau. In “Son of Saul,” the character of Saul Auslander is forced to cremate the bodies of fellow prisoners gassed by the SS. In one corpse, Saul believes he recognizes his dead son. Saul vows that he will save the child’s corpse from the flames and find a rabbi to say Kaddish at a proper funeral.
