ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATION

Solymár – Hungary

The Australian Embassy in Budapest arranged to hire a courtesy bus to assist with transportation back-and-forth to Solymár to the Commonwealth War Cemetery for members of the Australian and New Zealand communities and as a former „Sheila” was honoured to take part at the ANZAC DAY Commemoration.

Ambassadors, official, military and diplomatic representatives from Australia, New Zealand, Hungary: Lt.Gen. Zoltán Orosz Ministry of Defence, Dr.Attila Tilki National Assembly, Mr. Péter Wintermantel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey: H.E. Hasan Kemal Gür,  Pakistan, Canada, United Kingdom, France and South Africa. laid their wreaths. The officiating Ministers were: Reverend Dr. Frank Hegedűs Anglican Chaplain, Budapest,  Reverend Canon Denis Moss Retired Anglican Chaplain and also a Rabbi was present at the Service.. The commemoration began with the National anthems of both sides performed by the Australian musicians from the Rossmoyne Senior High School, Perth, Western Australia. They are currently on an European concert tour and  they were at Solymár participating at the Service of the Australian and New Zealand servicemen who are buried here. With their presence for all the individuals at the Anzac Day commemoration made the service more memorable.

The Australian Ambassador to Hungary H.E. John Griffin invited the ambassadors and other attending the Ceremony to a refreshment at the Australian Ambassador’s Residence.  I belive the laid body’s souls at Solymár felt the love for them as strong as the day’s sun shined on us. At the Ambassador’s Residence the guests could spend some time to have a talk and enjoy the refreshments and the could not be inevitable without  the Aussie meat pie and the jolly good Anzac cookies.

“ANZAC Day became a tradition and a Public Holiday in Australia. Time for mourning to the Australians and New Zealanders who have died in wars. It was established in April, 25. 1915, when Australian and New Zealand Army corps landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Those men whom served on the Gallipolo Peninsula created a legend, adding the word „ANZAC” to our vocabulary and creating the notion of the ANZAC spirit. In 1916 at the first year’s anniversary it was officially announced to be named „ANZAC DAY”. Since then, April, 25 is a day to remember of the HEROES who were reported “MISSING IN HUNGARY”, and  stopped for a minute to remember here at Solymár also of those Hungarians who died in all wars,  especially during the World War II.

In brief … Quote: “Since the human life is existing on our planet called earth, the World War II. was the bloodiest, deadliest war the world had ever seen. More than 48 million people died, many of them innocent  civilians. Twenty-one million militant persons died in the wars. More than 50 nations took part in the wars which change the world forever. All nations suffered enormous tremendous casualties. The Australian casualties from enemy action during the war were breathtaking, 27000 were killed and 23500 wounded. However when non-battle casualties are included these figures raise to 40000 killed an another 66500 wounded and a total of 12000 New Zealanders lost their lives. Almost one million Australians both men and women served in the second world War. The fought in campaigns in Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa. Also in South East Asia and other parts of the Pacific.The Australian mainland came under the direct attack for the first time as Japanese aircrafts bombed towns at North-West Australia and Japanese submarines  attacked the Sydney Harbour.

The Budapest’s Commonwealth War Cemetery contains 173 burials of the second world war. There are 13 Australian and 6 New Zealand servicemen buried in the Commonwealth War Cemetery at Solymár. All of them airmen who were brought in from sites all over from Hungary during the war. Three of these burials are unidentified. Many other parachuted safely to the ground, only to be catched and made them prisoners of war. Only 41% of bomber command air-crew survived, 45% were killed during the WORLD War II. Of those who joined the bomber command at the beginning of the war only 10% survived towards  the end of the war. These statistics are devastating and represents the sacrifice made by Australians and New Zealanders that effected our lives even to-day. All the allied war graves here at Solymár holds those airmen who were shot down over Hungary in 1944 and 1945. They served with the RAF and the RAAF squadron in strategic bombing incidence. The allied planes were sent over Hungary in 1944-45 to weaken the Nazi war effort, especially during the siege of Budapest, which was one of the most hard-fought battles of the war.”

During the commemoration time … there was put aside by remembering the Hungarian soldiers …  approximately 170000 Hungarian soldiers and  600000 civilians who died during World War II. and the many cities which were damaged and where the hardest hit took the capital, Budapest.

The war cemetery at Solymár is a solemn place were families can remember in national pride and gratitude all those who fought and died for freedom in the world.

STRONGBOW GOLD CIDER NOT JUST FOR THE PLEASURE OF THE HUNGARIAN TASTE

You just walk into a trendy bar with friends and there are dozens-and-dozens of alcoholic beverages on top of the shelves. What could Strongbow Gold Cider do to become your must-have drink? Well soon many invited guests who attended the early evening’s party on Thursday, April, 25 at the Trafik Bar and Restaurant soon found out what Strongbow Gold is all about, as they got aquantied with the latest special refreshing cider drink which worldwide has launched by getting famous. For the first time was introduced only in Hungary the special ingredients of the  flavor of honey and apple, both origins from the fields of Hungary.  The fresh new flavor with its 5% of alcohol gave more to the sparkling flavor, cool and enjoyable. Indeed the brand not only came out with a new flavor, but also a new idea with its apples with honey. On the spot ideas, thoughts of the next Strongbow flavor were around  on the top list. Many advised to have the next Strongbow flavor with honey and pears. The bottle’s design also worth a word or two with its unique label design and the colors of gold and black really caught the eye. By-the-way the invited guest to this party were asked to wear outfits colored gold-and-black. Some outfits were also outstanding.The fresh new flavor with its 5% of alcohol gave the sparkling flavor more enjoyable. Indeed the brand not only brought a new flavor, but also a new idea with its apples with honey. Based on the Hungarian consumer feedback the Strongbow cider’s sweet taste was to prepare a feminine refresher. We were told this special taste hit the nail of a 1940s jazz song in America, which inspired the beverage makers to create the apple-honey combination. This cool jazz movement  inspired our country’s well-known DJs to prepare three new piece of music, including Ms. Julia Carpenter, Mr. Chris Lawyer-Bricklake and Mr.Lotfi Begi, keyboard player in the band  called: Compact Disc, (Last year, in 2012 they represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song contest.) So the three of them introduced their own remix version to that oldie jazz tune. The composed composition will soon be available on the website http://www.strongbowmusic.hu . Besides the Strongbow cider, Dj’s music was in the air and the Renaissance of new combinations in fashion also had an impact, with Ms. Kata Szegedi award-winning fashion designer‘s latest collection  which were all inspired by the cider.

Spotted standing around the Bar two persons who  rang the bell for me,  looked just like the Blues Brothers. Told them  and right away asked them to pardon me, not was my intention to make fun out of them and they both bursts out laughing and the little  shorter person said,  he ain’t as fat as Jake Blues, but told them their height and the black hat surely is a great reminder. So they posed, laughed and kept on tell their friends around them they were called the Dutch Blues Bothers. see the happy-go-lucky guys in the slide show.

Márai Express – Expreience Train to Kosice, the European Capital of Culture, Slovakia

In addition to the gastronomical festival in Budapest farther in-country train adventure with the MÁV Nostalgia Ltd. took curious passengers to Kosice on Saturday, March, 20. 2013 on the “Márai Express”. The MÁV Experience Train to Kosice, (Slovak Košice) the European Capital of Culture.  Slovakia’s second largest city located on the coast of the Hernad-Hungarian border, only 16 km away. The total time of  our journey was three-and-a-half hours from Budapest, distance of 272kms, but the time was running fast experiencing the entertainment all brought to the travelers by the professional staff .

The MÁV Nostalgia Ltd trips are becoming increasingly popular rolling on the tracks inland and abroad onwards and upwards with the „Advanture Travel Show”.The MAV Nostalgia Ltd. staff ensured passengers comfort throughout the journey and aired continuous information throughout the whole destination. This year, the MÁV Nostalgia Ltd celebrated its 20 anniversary.

Our ride was open by Mr. Szendrey Andrew, CEO of MÁV Nostalgia Ltd. who greeted the passengers and introduced the programs, adventures to come on the train. Shortly upon our departure Hungarian sausage delights and pálinka was given as a warm welcome to the passengers.  The travelers attention were brought to move around in the cars and visit some excitements, as the Retro Bistro car, the Orpheum car brought live music by the Holiday Star band who entertained the guests at the dance car, dining car on the move… needn’t had to worry no spills, the plates were not only good for the eyes but very tasty too with typical Hungarian delicious yummies. The “Marai express” dining car is traveling with reasonable prices and delicious snacks waiting for breakfast and supper. The Adventure Train first casual school dance “Saturday Fever – Rolling dance school” with the „Everydance Studio” dancers teaching the latest steps on the dance floor. Also the Adventure Train Orpheum car offered a special „traveling-exhibition” of photographer Mr. Gábor Tamási railway themed pictures. Prehaps this is the first train rolling on the tracks presenting an exhibition in the world.

Rolling Library was on board, anyone could feel free to take some reading to their seat and when finished the reading they were kindly asked to bring it back to the Orfeum Car.  The library will grow-and-grow by the travelers leaving their unwanted books on the train and most probably will be appreciated in the future by passengers enjoying to read them later.

Arriving to Kosice the train rolled to the „heating house” international craft exhibition which was an entry free program organized by MÁV Nostalgia Ltd.

On our way back, in the evening mini-dance contest was out for Latin American dances with valuable prizes for the dancing queens  and kings. Also prizes went upon the draws to those who gave the correct answers on the special MÁV questioner form given which was distributed after our departure at the Western Railway Train Station in Budapest.

After the arrival to Kosice groups were formed and visitors could join a local tourist guide, but some individuals  rather took the adventure tour by themselves. One of the city’s most prominent monument not to be missed was of the great works of Gothic architecture, the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Elizabeth. The cathedral has been the site from the 13th century. At first there was a church that burned down in 1378. Then started the construction of the cathedral, in 1521 it was finished completely. The three-nave hall church had another fire in 1556, when the altar become a victim. The present appearance was reconstructed in the 19th centuries by the renewal won by Mr. Imre Steindl who upon his redevelopment plans the Parliament  was designed. The weather was marvelous and the thumbs up for the arrangements of the staff on the Experience Train.

“THE-END” TITANIC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL – BUDAPEST – 2013.

The final countdown came to “The End” of the 20th Titanic International Film Festival  March, 13. 2013, at Budapest. Before the  Gala took place had a chance to have a word with Mr. Jiri Menzel at the buffet in the Urania Cinema.  He told me he had a splendid time meeting friends here in Budapest, where he loves to come by once in a while. Seen he was relaxed and as always keeping up with joking. As seen in the slide show having conveniently sitting relaxing his legs. Asked him did he copy this way of  sitting from the americans, he immediately answered with a wide smile, Quote: “NO … the Americans learn this way of sitting from me”. So this  was  just one proof of his great sence of humor. After having a word with him, he and his interpreter went inside the cinema to open the night at the Gala.

In the international jury committee seated the Irish producer Mr. Morgan Bushe “Nothing Personal”, director Mr. Szabolcs Hajdu (Macerás ügyek) Sticky Matters and (Fehér tenyér) White Palms. bibliotheque Pascal and  the president  Mr. Jiri Menzel.

The Australian Oscar Nominee of 2013   took the first prize, the Breaking Waves Award of Ms. Cate Shortland’s “LORE” , along with the 8000 euro which was supported by the Hungarian National Film Fund. Lore will be out here at the cinemas from May, 2. 2013., distributed by Mozinet.

The world-famous Mr. Jiri Menzel personally handed over  a special award to Ms. Mira Fornay – My Dog Killer.

During the Titanic Festival at the end of each screening the viewers received a coupon to vote of their best liked films. So at the end of the festival there was an audience award. The figures showed the thumbs-up, to the community award of the film: Lidice  by Czech director Mr. Petr Nikolaev.

Standing in the second and third place, the awards went out to Matti Kinnunen’s –  Miss Blue Jeans, and the American musical documentary by Mr. Emmett Malloy – Big Easy Express.

DIRECTOR MR. JIRI MENZEL TOGETHER WITH THE HUNGARIAN MOVIE LOVERS – BUDAPAEST

There are only hours left to „The End” to the 20th Titanic International Film Festival  2013 – Budapest!

Indeed the Czech barrels of its Staropramen beer will be empty. Also an end stop with the vibration going to and being around the festival during the past days at the cinemas for the movie lovers.  For the time being, to-day had the opportunity to see at the exhibition brought to the VAM Design Center introducing Prague’s contemporary architectural to be showing the future world of its sights and sound of the modern Prague.  What may have really tickled many visitors was to see personally, the most successful Czech New Wave director Mr. Jiri Menzel.

Early Thursday evening the air was pretty hot … no … not because the hot summer had arrived to Budapest, yet not …have to wait for that, but for the arrival to hold a presentation by the 75 years old  magnificent  Czech director Mr. Jiri Menzel to the VAM Design Center in  Budapest. To meet Mr. Menzel was the cream on top of the cake … why? … because probably not too many of the Czech citizens may see him personally like we have had been lately here in Budapest.

While awaiting for his arrival on the main stage two presentation took place and in between tasting Czechs food and beer eased the thirst. Indeed, visitors felt a bit like being in Prague. The first presentation was about the Czech New Wave Academy Award-winning director’s opera. Overall, were warmly advised to see it.

The second presentation was about the exhibition titled “New Face” of Prague to be seen on  the spot.  The presentation was by Czech historians and theoreticians of modern and contemporary architecture,  Mr. Petr Kratochvíl and Mr.Zdeněk Lukes, whereas they gave an overview of the Czech capital city and its modern buildings –  Quote: „The tourists visiting Prague are most familiar with its classic face. That is natural when tourist visit a city or a town.  Well-known,  building a new area needs to constantly evolve and be in dialogue with the past and present. So far hopefully we are doing well, but right now we are far away to compare any similar characteristics to the city of Vienna. We inherited from the socialism era  quite disgusting buildings in Prague.”  Wish to emphasize two superb shots of area  seen at the exhibition. One was the marvelous new age in the design concept to the new neighbourhood around Prague. The surrounded area with the greenery, the house constructions on a relatively small and abruptly slooping site makes the site more-and-more attractive. The tall building has the ability to form a point of orientation, let alone within a unique historic setting can also cause a problem … as tested at the financial district of London, where the commerce have begun to overshadow  St.Paul’s cathedral.  So Praha now is faced with a dilemma of its current process of decentralisation. The homework is out …   under what conditions to allow the skyscrapers into the new local centers. Well we will see what tomorrow may bring!

The second shot of demo was the eye-catching design of  the Slavia Praha Football Stadion, which is to be the most modern sport area in the Czech Republic. It combines a variety of functions… alongside the stadium of 21000 seats for footy lovers! Also thought of having space for office, hotel and conference center and a footy stadion without a fan shop won’t be missing as well. Als, the comfort will be available for the V.I.P.’s with boxes and a club area to get set for the ball!

Here came the fullstop to the presentation! Suddenly faces  and shoulders turned away from the stage, Mr. Menzel half-way walking through  the hall caught everybody’s attention. Visitors wished to be the first to catch him and ran to him to be sure to get his autograph … so our virtual trip to tomorrow’s Prague came to an end.

Stepping to the stage Mr. Menzel was offered some „homeland” the Staropramen beer, but as he stated, he  hates  beer. Hearing that remark, later asked him has he tasted the Hungarian pálinka? He told me he has, but not fond of it so much. Q.: And how about the wines from the land of Hungary? A.: quote I prefer wine and in the case of wines I like the red wines.” Asked him whether he had wine from Szekszárd, one of the best or the best red wine originate from that area. With a wide smile and nodding his head – Quote: “I have previously visited Szekszárd and tastes the red wines  over there and they are very intensive, one of a kind.”  He gave an exclusive presentation and showed snaps of his new movie. One of the visitors asked him does he have in mind to come to Hungary to direct at a theater. Mr.Menzel right away had the answer – Quote: “It depends on how much they pay.  Have not yet been asked to do so, but who knows, it can or may happen but my price is high! By-the-way previously visited and worked in Hungary. Thanks to my lucky star I worked here already and when I ain’t feeling too good at home, I drop over here.” Of course everyone laughed at his comments but seeing the twinkle in his eyes said it all … he himself was also happy of what he said. Well that’s a nice way coming to TheEnd of his a discussion.  After Mr. Menzel presentation movie lovers were lucky enough to see, meet, speak with him  so for many made  their day by getting an autograph personally from him. He was as  generous as can be, signed his name on one’s  label of the Staropramen beer, on a beermat, at the page of his book, some folks brought his photo to be signed,  on the leaflet of the Titanic festival, on lady’s T-shirt, on their skirts and for many signed his name on the bared hands and so forth.

HERE WE GO … WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 20TH TITANIC FILM FESTIVAL – BUDAPEST!

NOT TO BE MISSED … HERE IS A QUICKY … A SELECTION OF INDEPENDENT AMERICAN MOVIES!

 The section  goes off with the title  …  “Living In America” which includes five features and one of them is  “How to Follow Strangers” at its world premiere. After its screenings the   director, Chioke Nassor. Story in brief … In the section the drama of a single mother with two teenage sons will run, a musical comedy, the story of a teenage girl who is in love with her brother and that of a female alcoholic school teacher. Until April, 13 when the festival comes to an end, there is still a chance to catch up with all the films of the in the section of  “Living In America”. 

“A Little Closer”  from  Matthew Petock is his first feature which is situated in his birthplace, Richmond, Virginia. Sheryl, a single mother, is desperately looking for a new man who can be a father to her two sons. She goes to a weekly dating evening in the hope of meeting her dream prince while her eldest son, Marc (16) is still a virgin and gets sexual advice from an older boy. The younger son, Stephen (12) falls in love with the teacher everybody hates. The family members have similar problems, but that does not bring them closer together – Petock cleverly makes the distance between them tangible.

The world-premier of the drama “How to Follow Strangers” is at the 20th Titanic Festival. This first feature of his has two interconnected stories, the first of which is inspired by a true account of a woman who died in her Manhattan apartment and remained there a year before her body was found, decomposing in a crisp Chanel suit.A young man in the film named Casey, becomes so obsessed with this urban tragedy that he fakes his own disappearance, wondering if anyone will notice. The second storyline begins when Ellie, a young woman who sees Casey everyday as part of her regular commute actually does notice that he goes missing. The audience can meet Chioke Nassor, the director of this remarkable film on 12nd April after the 6.30 p.m. screening at the Örökmozgó  and Filmmúzeum cinemas.

The third film of the section is a comedy directed by Gary King,  “How Do You Write a Joe Schermann Song” is about an immensely skilled songwriter, Joe who scrapes together a living while waiting for that one perfect moment to step into the spotlight. When opportunity comes knocking, Joe leaps at the chance to write the songbook for an off-Broadway show. Inspiration comes in the form of Summer, an aspiring actress with an incredible voice that Joe thinks would be perfect for the lead, but this leads to private life conflicts. Director Gary King, who also wrote the film, opts to eschew spectacular dance numbers and elaborate costumes in favor of a more intimate, character-driven narrative.

The “Unspeakable Act” deals with the controversial theme of incest within a close-knit, yet strangely detached family dynamic. Director Dan Sallitt’s film relies far more on the strength of its character development than it does on gaudy sensationalism to push home his message. Jackie is a 17 old average teenage girl, filled with new emotions and fresh doubts about the world in which she lives. But she also carries a secret: she’s deeply in love with her brother Matthew. Matthew, who doesn’t share Jackie’s feelings. He’s heading off to college and has finally met his first girlfriend.

The dramedy “Smashed” is directed by James Ponsoldt was awarded a Special Jury Prize at last year’s Sundance Film Festival. When we first meet functioning alcoholic Kate Hannah, she’s already close to rock bottom. She takes a shot of whiskey to brace herself for a day of teaching first grade. When she vomits at school, a student asks if she’s pregnant. Desperate to disguise her hangover, she lies and says she is. It’s a deception that could cost her career, but also can save her life. Ponsoldt’s Smashed traces its heroine’s downward spiral – from smoking crack in a drunken lapse of judgment to an outrageous episode in a convenience store – with insight, daring and profound empathy.

MORE TO COME TO THE 20TH TITANIC FILM FESTIVAL IN BUDAPEST … NINE FILMMAKERS VISIT 20TH TITANIC

Film directors will present in Budapest coming from the United States of America, Ireland, England, Wales, France, Holland, Russia and Slovakia to escort their films and meet the Hungarian audience during the 20th Titanic International Film Festival. The films are running at five cinemas, between April, 5 up to 13. 2013.

Right on the opening day, on Friday, April, 5., 8.45 p.m. the Puskin cinema will be screening the „Silent Ones”. This is the first film of Dutch director Ricky Rijneke, staring two Hungarian actors, Ms. Orsi Tóth and Mr. Roland Rába. After the screening the audience will have the chance to meet the director and the female protagonist.

Saturday, April, 6. at 7 p.m., the audience can watch at the Puskin cinema a city-horror, entitled „Citadel” in which a man has been suffering from agoraphobia since his wife was fatally attacked by twisted feral children. After the film the Irish director Ciarán Foy, will be answering the questions coming from the audience. At the same time in Toldi cinema „Shiver” will run in which a young secretary lacking in self-esteem becomes victim of savage killer but, somehow finds courage to fight back and escape. This exciting thriller is based upon the acclaimed novel of Brian Harper. The guest of the screening will be present the director of the film, Julian Richards from Wales.

On Ship A-38 there will be two screenings and Q&As. Saturday and Monday, April, 6 and 8th at 7.30 p.m. meeting  the British director, Eve Wood’s of „The Beat Is the Law: Fanfare for the Common People.” Eve Wood’s documentary is a history of the amazing Sheffield music scene, from early 80’s post-punk through the house boom and into Britpop. The film culminates with Pulp’s triumph at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival, where as last-minute replacement headliners, the band delivered the era-defining song Common People.

Sunday, April, 7., at 7 p.m. at the Toldi cinema, one can catch up with the „Shopping Tour” in the presence of the Russian director, Mikhail Brashinsky. In this unique piece a group of Russian tourists go on a shopping tour to the neighboring Finland – only to be attacked by the Finnish cannibals. Mr. Brashinsky had worked as a train conductor en route to Siberia and a waiter in a Turkish restaurant, a DJ on Bourbon Street in New Orleans and a film instructor at several New York universities, so he has a lot to tell to the Hungarian audience. At the same time at Urania Cinema, meet the Hungarian director from Solvakia, Mira Fornay,  will present her subtle film. „My Dog Killer” is about racists and ethnic conflicts in contemporary Europe and partly about wrong choices that, once made, cannot be altered. It is also about chances that appear, only to be missed.

There will be a world-premier on Monday, April, 8., sharp at 9 p.m. at the Toldi cinema „How to Follow Strangers”, the film of American Chioke Nassor has two interconnected stories the first of which is inspired by a true account of a woman who died in her Manhattan apartment and remained there a year before her body was found, decomposing in a crisp Chanel suit. The audience can meet the director on Friday, April, 12., after the 6.30 p.m. screening at Örökmozgó cinema as well.

Wednesday, April, 10., 4.30 p.m. at Puskin cinema, „Fine, Thanks” will run that consists of three main stories, all taking place during the current financial crisis. After the screening the audience can ask questions about his debut from Slovakia-based Hungarian director, Mr. Mátyás Prikler. Finally on Thursday, 11th April, 11., 7 p.m. at the Toldi cinema „Morning Star” will be screened staring Denis Lavant, Iggy Pop and Tchéky Karyo. thereafter, there will be a Q&A with the French director of the film, Sophie Blondy.

Mr. Morgan Bushe Irish producer, Mr. Szabolcs Hajdú, Hungarian film director and the head of the jury, the world-famous Czech director, Mr. Jiři Menzel will also be in Budapest during Titanic International Film Festival.

“SHOW ME YOUR CITY ” CHARITY CAMPAIGN FOR THE NEEDY CHILDREN!

Most known popular Hungarian television personalities, singers, models and designers and Sugarbird members teamed-up again to be in the charity campaign titled “Show Me Your City” . The team this spring wish to succeed for hundreds of needy children to deliver as a gift of children’s cloths. This campagne goes through April, 3 up to May, 30 and the Sugarbird team awaits the respond of those children’s homes where the assistance in children§’s cloths is most required

The campaign’s name is “Show Me Your City” with the concept to promote the birthplace of the well-known Hungarian personalities. The Sugarbird came out with a limit number of  T-shirt design Miss KK,  by street art artist, designer.

The children’s clothes will be collected through funds received by the organizers. The total revenue from sales of T-shirts goes to the needy children. thereafter, forward to the children’s homes in need of assistance.

The media call was at the event venue beside the rolling River Danube at the renewed KIOSZK pub and restaurant at the District V. March 15 square of Budapest. The place is pretty amazing, raw inside walls with ringing the bell of the era of a fatorty’s workers’ locker room int he 70s or the 80s a truly classic spaces. The panorama of proof is to be in one of the most exciting location and a real urban meeting place.

Quote: „It is very important to me to process in every season a Hungarian-related topics. I love the Hungarian cities, towns with its history and atmosphere. My big dream was to fashion T-shirts and popularize them. I believe, this is not just a fashion theme, or trend, but it is much more has to do on a long run in need of support people and institutions. This year I want to see a smile on the checks of the children “… said Jagasics v Ms. Helen Sugarbird owner and chief designer.

In the beginning week of April, at the prime opening of the KIOSZ Restaurant – Budapest,  known personalities joined the campaign wearing a T-shirt with the name of the city they were born, grew up and the attractions over there printed on their T-shirts.

NOT JUST OLIVES FROM SPAIN BUT  “DESIGUAL” FASHION FROM SPAIN HAS ARRIVED TO BUDAPEST

Needn’t have to go for just shopping to Spain … can do it now in Budapest, cause they have opened its first store in Hungary.

The DESIGUAL has been spinning around to conquer with its shops around the fashion world! This time took a spin to the Central-Eastern Europe  to Budapest.

At the Designal’s shops all can tailor themselves with all kind of women wear, swimwear, kids wear, footwear, leather goods and colorful Spanish jewellery which are dreamt off by the colors of the Mediterranean Sea.

Thursday, April, 4. 2013. the Desigual, one of the world’s most prominent fashion shop opened its first store in Budapest, Hungary at one of the busiest shopping center, the WestEnd City Center.

Even though Budapest does not lay beside the salty breeze by seaside, yet these cloths pulls over to the fun atmosphere of being out on the boardwalk or spending an evening out by the River Danube on a warm breezy night.

At the ceremonial opening beside the shoppers, domestic music artists as Ms. Bea Palya, Ms. Lola and Ms. Veronika Harcsa also took part in celebrating the opening of the Desigual brand.

Quote from Ms. Bea Palya said with a wide  smile „These peices of cloths are art of fashion, colorful, energetic, in a way silly. It has long been my favorite brand to be purchased. Had to roll over to Spain for individual pieces, skirts, handbags. I am delighted that we can now recharge my wardrobe with some real Spanish designers pieces here in Budapest”

Ms. Veronika Harcsa and Ms. Lola, also found close to the heart of pieces in the shop. Quote from Ms. Lola: „I found a real spring clothes, full of colors, full of energy, but now is the time to finally arrive the good weather so I can wear soon now.

Good news for folks living in other regions of the country, cause the company have in mind to continue its international expansion, planning to open more stores in Hungary in the years to come.
