„BACK to the FUTURE” … FEVER is ON in BUDAPEST!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Never-the-less 30 years just flipped away and we are currently living in 2015., without Marty’s  magical hoverboard, nor ain’t high up the flying cars … not to mention as Dr. Brown says …”Where we are going there are no roads” so have to come down on earth and still do it the hard way in driving or sucked in a traffic jam.

Anyway, was a great journey „Back To the Future”,  to the Corvin Cinema (Corvin mozi)  on October, 16. 2015. whereas in front of the cinema stood the magical DeLorean DMC12 vehicle, but  in 2015 it does not need the 1.21 gigawatts anymore and therefore will not take any passengers Back to the Future. The oldie Volkswagen made van was parking without any bad lad, but surely was a reminder of the race in the movie. Inside the cinema hall was quicky exhibition and by this time in history, technology had progressed as much during the 30 years since 1985 as it had during the previous 30 years from 1955 to 1985. Electronics were in virtually everything from clothing to garbage cans to make them move, talk or make those electronic noises. These and other items seen in the movie was out on display so  families, folks of all age and kids were able throughout the day visiting the venue.

Enjoy the slides.

Budapest loves Sport … Sport loves Budapest … 2019!?!

European City of Sport 2019  …  Budapest or Malaga!?!

The Brussels-based ACES will be announcing the winner between

October 26 and 28.2015.

But first things first …  The Municipality of Budapest was represented by deputy mayor  – Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky and the 11 ACES members staying for a couple of days in Budapest … The European Capitals of Sport Association (European Capitals of Sport Committee – ACES)“The European Capital of Sport” was first announced in the year 2001.

The deputy mayor highlighted the objectives contained in the tender that the enjoyment of promoting everyday physical activity in the elementary and secondary high-school is a case that Hungary is implementing into the daily school life. Also in favor of athletic performance, ambition, sense of community, the fair-play spirit of awareness and to improve health. Applications can be promoted not only by winning a competitive sport, but also wanting to give emphasis on presenting and promoting its leisure sports as well. The Committee expressed its pleasure to manage to bring everyday sports training. The President said in Europe it has not quite been realized this method, and this incentive will be separately taken into account and make sure it is observed in the selection process. According to the question ofinfrastructure developments, the deputy major answered, by saying, in recent years, more developments has been realized in the capital. As for an example, at the Margaret Island the path had been renewed at the running circle and as we are here just talking, looking out the window can view the renewed Ice Rink overlooking at the Castle of Vajdahunyad. Came up with another example to the Water World Cup 2017 – Budapest preparations which are on the go and underway. So it can be seen already that not only the institutions will be rich in Budapest, but also experience the fact that Hungary is not only good with buildings, but also good with having athletes and sports leaders who have had already international experience within participating, arranging different level of sport events, but also experiences in engagements to the Olympic Games.

Mr. Gian Francesco Lupattelli – President  ACES, also updated the participants, saying …  Q.: „This year, Torino bears the title, which organizes around 1,200 sporting events per year. Next year will follow Prague, thenafter Marseille and Sofia continues the line.”

Last but not least … This application will help in Budapest’s 2024 Olympic candidature, and focusing media attention to the capital!

Now we only have to wait for a couple of days to find out who come first in arranging …

Sport Capital of the year 2019!?!

Spanish Days at the SZEGA Market – Budapest

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Spanish delights from Spain at the SZEGA Market – Budapest,  in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Hungary.

A full week … October, 12-17. 2015

A week in Spain… well not in person, but through gastronomy diversity. The basic main thought was to familiarize the customers with the Spanish food and drinks. October, 12. back in Spain was also a special day, a national holiday celebrating  Cristoforo Colombo (Christopher Columbus),  who 523 years ago, on this day reached the Island of San Salvador  and by this reached the previously unknown continent to the shores of America. So it was a double special day by the arrival to the Spanish Days official opening by  His Excellency – Jose Angel Jorrit Lopez –  Ambassador to Hungary who opened  the week of Spanish gastronomy. As he said, he is only being here in Budapest for a short time, but well know the best way to get to know a country is by its gastronomy, which tells a lot about where you stay for a short or for a longer period of time. This is why during this week all the goodies which speak for themselves about Spain are here at the SZEGA Market.

Talking about food in Spain, many who have already visited Spain most probably tasted their traditional soup the Gazpacho  which is a  real classic summer pinch … refreshing, and full of ripe summery flavours and also from the Mediterranean coast the Paella … which is in a way simply, yet delicious with a mixture of sea food, rice and a load of veggies. The Paella actually was named after a double handled frying pan they cooked it in Spain.

The Szega Market now for one week visitors may gain an insight to the Spanish cuisine, such as:  black olives, Tetilla, Manchego,  cheese, Catalan zucchini bread, Sauvignon blanc – red, Manchela – dry, Bobal – rosé wines, Chorizo picante, Salchichon salami, Estrella beer  and many more. Naturally as the Spaniards saythe King of Ham –  Iberico Bellota can be purchased as well. During the week visitors may see how the cortador masters slice the ham. It seems easy, but an average person may be a bit confused when it comes to  slicing … not so easy after all.

The digitally restored version will be screened in the original 1987 Hungarian sync.

Guess, not far from saying, this was one of the best movies of the 20th Century. Generations have grown up within the adventures traveling in space and time, also with its iconic story and its characters, as the tough teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his friend, the brilliant but slightly zany Dr. Emmet Brown, a.k.a. Doc (Christopher Lloyd). The „Back to the Future” surely made its way through the decades and entered forever into the world’s famous films. So after 30 years it’s time,  to refresh the fans mind, relive those moments of the film that made many to go watch it over-and-over again and talk about it for a long time. Catch up, refresh those memories and enjoy traveling back in time again.

As for those who have not seen it yet … or they were born much later, it is a superb time to go Back to the Future to see what this film was all about in the 80’s pop films. It absolutely serves as entertainment. So mark the date go sit, layback in a comfy seat, relax and travel back in time.

Back to the Future – is full of situation comedies  and a bunch of sci-fi adventures … based on Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis’ – Oscar-winning cult film, Steven Spielberg‘s screenplay.
