Southern Lake Balaton cool to visit in summer and winter!

The press conference was held by locals presenting their latest goals. Spoke about the results of Southern Lake Balaton entrepreneurs and local governments who have been working for many years to make Balaton and its surroundings not only for  a summer visit or holiday but also year-round attractive destination for the visitors. As a result, this year, with the cooperation of nearly 20 local entrepreneurs and the local government of Balatonboglár and Balatonlelle, announced the Lake Balaton program guide starting from early July.

The program covers 10 full-year restaurants and 15 large-scale events, from September 2018 to May 2019. The events include many years of tradition and novelties, including the Winter Sailing Competition, the Christmas Fair and the Advent Gastronomy Picnic,and also hosted by this year’s novelty, based on the success of the Kishegyi Cortes and Falas – also in the small town, at the end of October coming – “Murci” Festival too.

The Program Guide appearance is timed to the very beginning of the summer season, they wish the people to confront the fact that even though the summer is over within two months, life does not stop at the Lake Balaton, in fact! The goal is to be the lake livable and vibrant tourist destination for a whole year and to draw the attention to Hungarians and foreigner tourists visiting in the summertime that Lets say the „game is not over” on August, 20, because the lake runs out of the water!  The Lake Balaton in the wintertime is alive make it worthwhile to visit and its surroundings.

Programs, for mainly focused on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, however, on the north coast will not remain without winter program: the Lake ROUND 5 for gastro picnic roadshow was arranged, where it will be possible to meet the winemaker area, restaurants, confectioners delights and Pálinka in it.

The press conference also presented in addition, also due to be put into effect Balatonlelle and Balatonboglár the Tekergő-electric minivan, offering to reach easily thematic programs for visitors all year round. The programs include a wine and champagne tour, museum tours, an adventure program, and even a timeshare tour visiting Balatonlelle. At the press conference was present the deputy mayor of BalatonboglárIstván Kenéz, mayor of Balatonlelle who said Q.: “You can glance at our sunny, hospitable town’s life known for its resorts and green areas with our publication. I hope our guidebook is going to arouse your interesting and as our future guest it’s going to help your briefing and your undisturbed, comfortable rest. Also,be our  guest in our town.”  Balázs Tóth, vice-president of the Balaton KÖR.  Was taken with a sailboat out on Lake Balaton were you can experience the magic of relaxation hearing the crushing  waves and enjoy landscape from the water both side of Lake Balaton.

There were the wooden outstanding of wineries whom will be around to welcome to the southern coast of Lake Balaton to their wines. On the spot tasted Bujdosó’s wine which many who have already tasted agrees “Balaton summer locked in the bottle.”

The BL Yacht Club and the Hungarian National Circus  team has made several unexpected ideas together about highlights at Balatonlelle, after an elephant and a seal bathing now coming up with another specialty. There will be other way  the Hungarian National Circus horse–show by the Golden Clown Award winner Joseph Richter, Jr., and part of the National Circus team. (This is the largest and most expensive traveling circus in Hungary. Its founder is József Richter, Mari Prize-winning artist Jászai, the artist of the prize-winning artist of the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival and the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary. The director of the circus is junior. József Richter, who won this year’s Golden Clown Prize in Monte-Carlo with his wife.)

XXIII. Wine-Week Award Ceremony at Balatonlelle – 2015.

Award Ceremony at and along the boardwalk of Balatonlelle – Hungary!

At then opening ceremony were present professionals from the tourism, wine professionals and the outstanding local representatives gastronomic … including Ramona Biró – Wine Queen 2014, István Kenéz – major of Balatonlelle, Miklós Mészaros – major of Balatonboglár, József Pócz – President of Balatonlelle hill-community.

József Pócz – President hill-community Balatonlelle said at the opening ceremony Q: „Here at Balatonlelle the wineweek is held for the 23rd. occasion. This year 18 wineries are present and offers a great selection of 151 different wines. Wines are from over 10 to 20 hectares producing 1,000 hectoliters of wine. Szőlőgyörök settlement has small and medium-sized wineries.  The year 2014 was not the pamper for the wine producers, but from the smallest wine producers – who for their own prepare wine and share with their friends and companies – up to the BB champagne wines were all present. Over a week will be not just about the wine … every night offers a color line of programs: So beside tasting the local rich fruity wines, entertainment awaits the visitors the watching local folklore style dancing, gypsy music ( visitors may step-up the stage and sing-a-ling together with the group the folk songs, there will be a bit of rock and jazz concerts, gastronomic flavors, strolling around the Handicraft Market, not to mention, relaxing … watching the world go by, sailing through the summer breeze, pop on a boat cruise around the Lake Balaton. What more is needed spending time-out at Balaton’s summer festival season!

Ferenc Bujdosó – Board Chairman of the Wine Region Balatonboglár said. Q: “We tried to create a similar objective judging method accordingly in use at the act of  internationally level,  whereas the wine judges do not sit together at a large table, but back-to-back and  are individually testing the wines. This was the first time the international method has been implemented into the competition,  which was at first was a bit strange for the judges.”

There were selected four committees said János Mayer –  Chief president  – Badacsonyi Research Institute. After the wines were judged, thenafter asked by the past three year’s “Wine of the Year” wine maker winners: Bence Gamamvári, Otto Konyári, Leigli  to selected the three best white, red, sparkling wines.

From the 131 wines  entering the competition, winning awards were given to 30 wine makers, such as: AK – AK Winery Ltd., Balla Winery, BB, Bujdosó Winery, Buzás Vineyard, Buzássy Winery, Chapell Hill, Tithe Cellar, Fáncsi Hegyi Cellar, Garamvári Vineyards (4 gold), Gutman Wine Cellar, Hujber Cellar, Icon Winery, Kalász Winery, Katona Wine-House, Kislaki-Légi Géza, Koltai Winery, Konyári Winery, Légli Vineyards, Miklós Cellar, Németh Winery, Országh Cellar, Podmaniczky Winery, Pócz Winery, Rádpuszta Winery ,St. Anne’s Winery, Szentpály Winery, St. Anne Winery, Szentpály Winery, St. Kristóf Cellars, Topos Cellar, Trunkó Cellar, Veszprém Cellar.

Two of the wine competitors wines recieved big Gold medalist, 31 Gold medal and a couple of wines received the Bronze title award. Only a 1-2 wines had to be ruled out because of error. An independent commission came over from different parts of country’s wine regions … eg. Szekszárd, Vilány and the young adult generation participated in judging as well. After the regional testing ended the local committee judging took place.

In addition to the locally made wines need not have to say too much to keep in mind, must-is-a-must not to leave before not having to taste of the delicious dishes such as the buffalo gulyás which is cooked with 35 kgs. buffalo meat boiling in 80 liters of water and of cause the additional veggies and the Hungarian noddle won’t be missing.

Being on holiday or just dropping over  for a day or two to the region of South Lake Balaton, enjoying the sights-sound-food-wines  at Balatonlelle during the wine week is worthwhile to think it over before it ends 11 p.m. on August, 9. 2015.

Balaton summer locked into the bottle of Bujdosó wines!

Recent update from the Bujdosó Vineyards and Winery.

The four seasons always hold a lot of hard work to be busy at the Vineyards! Naturally, also at all the regions of Hungary the Wineries in the month of January are not getting loose and not having too much time to rest. Same goes at the Bujdosó Vineyard, where the vines began intersection of environmental development and construction of the new wines at Balatonlelle – Southern Lake Balaton.

The Bujdosó Winery had lately become more popular. At the beginning of January, the year’s grape work started to have this year’s harvest to be effective. Started pruning the vines during the work, which was gain by the support in trimming machine which is faster than expected in progress.

Besides Balatonlelle Bujdosó plant, opened in early December, the new wine shop fitting also cordoned line, where they have placed a new central heating system which is based on a solid-fuel, automatic wood chip boiler Fed operations.This investment is the branch, where the cut vine, roots or fruit trees can be recycled well. By the end of January a ready-made insulated warehouse expand their premises. During springtime the project as planned will continue, with the bound to the production of hot water solar system together, in order to provide a more environmentally conscious operating conditions.

Keeping up with the tradition, earlier this year was born as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot wines and the latest Bujdosó Buoy rose.

The second part of January the works will be starting of with bottling the 2014 white wines … the Knot – Sauvignon Blanc, the Captain – Irsai Oliver-  and Tower – Riesling.
