Reception marking Italy’s National Day @ Várkert Bazár – Budapest.

H.E. Massimo Rustico – Ambassador of Italian Embassy welcomed and greeted the huge number of guests. By H.E.’s side his wife,  Gian Luca Borghes – director of the Italian Institute of Culture, Francesco Mari – president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce.  Many more representives of Italy and distinguished guest from Embassies, Trade, joint partners and so forth. H.E. was delighted to see approx. more than a thousand invited guests arrived to the historic surroundings of the Várkert Bazár to celebrate Italy’s National Day and to take part in enjoying the ceremony.

H.E. spoke about the event which also carries as a reminder of the cultural and industrial influence of Italy, while at the same time giving a sense of the spirit of the country in many ways and wished the guests a relaxed evening. H.E. Massimo Rustico  – Italian Ambassador emphasized Italy’s main export products. Italian style and products do not have to be introduced nor popularizing such as food, clothing and fashion, and vehicles as well, just as arts, culture, and tourism. During the reception Made in Italy sweets, meat from Kométa, scootersd from Vespa, Pirelli hoops. The beauty of cars were on the spot: all-new Alfa Romeo, SUV  Stelvio Quadrifoglio, also one of the major sponsors, Fiat Chrysler. The other diamond sponsor, UniCredit. H.E. also added Q.: “The National Day is actually on the 2nd of June, but we hold it to-day on Friday cause on the coming week-end everybody will head for relaxing to the Lake Balaton and did not wish to clash with people’s long weekend holiday plans.”

Representing the government, Gergely Gulyás, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office commented on the long-standing history between the two countries and are partners, both bilaterally and within the European Union, and the minister pledged Hungary’s commitment to the EU, even while member states may at times disagree with one another’s views.

BUT last BUT not least!!! Far from unexpected was the so called “fashion show” with all the outfits in movies worn by the unforgettable famous actress Audrey Hepbourn. Audrey Hepburn featured in several dresses in shooting Italian movies such as “War and Peace” – 1956, directed by Király Vidor. The color white famous dress was made:  ivory gazar silk dress trimmed with silver embroideries and application of small blue velvet horses.
