The Duna Art Ensemble are preparing their new performance entitled Fathers and Sons – Folk Dance Performance based on the collections of Albert Nagy, which will be presented on September 21 at the National Dance Theater. The production is about tradition and passing it on through the spiritual relationship between fathers and their sons. The performance is the starting point of a series with which they want to pay tribute to our folk dance collectors who do outstanding work.
Zsolt Juhász, the artistic director of the Duna Art Ensemble, wants to start a series with this performance, in which they pay tribute to renowned folk dance collectors. The work of folk dance choreographer Albert Nagy is remembered first. Ödön Rubold – Jászai Mari award-winning dramatist, in the interpretation of Merited Artist, details will be quoted from Ferenc Kölcsey’s work Parainesis.
