Premiere: Christmas 2026

HBO Max has unveiled the first official trailer of HBO’s own produced Harry Potter series has arrived for its upcoming original series, Harry Potter. The first season, consisting of eight episodes and titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, will debut on HBO at Christmas 2026 and will be available exclusively on HBO Max in the markets where the service operates – including the recently launched German, Italian, as well as British and Irish markets.

Synopsis: Harry Potter is not special – at least, that is what his aunt, Petunia, always claims. However, the acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, arriving on his 11th birthday, opens the door to a hidden world for him: a world of adventure, friendship, and magic. Yet, this new life also holds serious dangers, as Harry must face a highly dangerous enemy from his past.

The main roles in the series feature Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Tristan Harland as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland as George Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.

Additional cast: Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Caramel, Luke Thallon as Mógus Mór, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Gracie Cochrane as Ginny Weasley, Richard Durden as Cuthbert Binns, Louise Brealey as Rolanda Hooch, Bríd Brennan as Poppy Pomfrey, Leigh Gill as Griphook, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

The series based on J. K. Rowling’s globally beloved book series was written by Francesca Gardiner, who also serves as an executive producer on the production. Mark Mylod also participates as an executive producer on the series and directs several episodes for HBO, in collaboration with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The series’ executive producers further include J. K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts (Brontë Film and TV), as well as David Heyman (Heyday Films).

A new global concert tour is rolling all over the world, celebrating one of the most beloved film in movie history which has  already  engaged millions.

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series is on a worldwide run and rolling over to Budapest!

For the first time coming to Budapest’s audience to experience a symphony orchestra performing music to the entire film. About the Orchestra … The “Magyar Virtuozok Orchestra” – “Hungarian Virtuosos Orchestra” with great pleasure will hold an unforgetable evening accompanied by music of the beloved film whilst simultaneously projected onto the 12 meters in diameter wide screen. The award-winning music scores played live by a symphony orchestra,. The orchestra was founded by violinist and artistic director Miklós Szenthelyi with outstanding young musicians from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in 1988.

The concert will feature the live symphony orchestra performing, to picture, every note from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Audiences will be able to see, hear every note the orchestra performs of  the J. K. Rowling’s magical world.

Tickets can be purchased on the spot at the Arena’s ticket office. The production is brought alive by the “Live Nation”
