The Celtic Voice of Angels – Budapest – 2017.

The Celtic Voice of Angels are arriving to Budapest from Glasgow Royal Concert Hall – UK   and the beloved multi-platinum Irish music sensation will fill the air  at 8 p.m. in the László Papp Sport Arena – Budapest on Friday, November, 10. 2017.

They are out again on a worldwide tour by vibrating the Irish traditional angelic voices by Susan McFadden, Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon and introduces the breathtaking new Celtic violinist –Tara McNeill, accompanied by a group of equally talented musicians and dancers whose exceptional skill bring a fresh fusion of musical and timeless Irish tradition.

As Ireland is about to commemorate the events of 100 years ago that led to the nation’s independence,

Celtic Woman offers a spirited rendition of “Óró sé do bheatha ‘bhaile”, a traditional Irish song that became closely associated with “The Troubles” after the 1916 uprising in Ireland, during the Irish War for Independence. They also perform such traditional Irish songs such as “Bean Pháidín” and “Siúil A Run” highlighting the Ireland’s heritage and its Gaelic, its indigenous language, along with “Walk Beside Me” and a cover of The Waterboys’ – “The Whole Of The Moon.” 

Their GRAMMY Awards took place on February, 12. 2017., at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, that stood for the GRAMMY nomination under the Best World Music category for their album „Destiny”. Also Celtic Woman has been named Billboard World Album Artist of the Year six times. This is the Celtic Woman’s 12th consecutive No.1 in the Billboard World Music Charts since the group’s formation  and recently received a No.1 in the Billboard World Music Chart and Classical Chart with their album „Voice of Angels”.

Celtic Woman released its first album in 2005 and has recorded eight albums since then and toured in  23 countries at the four corners of the Earth countless times. They have sold over 10 million records worldwide.

The foundation for Celtic music’s popularity outside Ireland and Europe was built by tapping into the success of artists such as Enya, Moya Brennan and Clanned, just to name a few and along with stage shows with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, the Celtic Woman has been described as being “The Riverdance for the Voice”
