Celtic Woman offers a spirited rendition of “Óró sé do bheatha ‘bhaile”, a traditional Irish song that became closely associated with “The Troubles” after the 1916 uprising in Ireland, during the Irish War for Independence. They also perform such traditional Irish songs such as “Bean Pháidín” and “Siúil A Run” highlighting the Ireland’s heritage and its Gaelic, its indigenous language, along with “Walk Beside Me” and a cover of The Waterboys’ – “The Whole Of The Moon.”
Their GRAMMY Awards took place on February, 12. 2017., at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, that stood for the GRAMMY nomination under the Best World Music category for their album „Destiny”. Also Celtic Woman has been named Billboard World Album Artist of the Year six times. This is the Celtic Woman’s 12th consecutive No.1 in the Billboard World Music Charts since the group’s formation and recently received a No.1 in the Billboard World Music Chart and Classical Chart with their album „Voice of Angels”.
