Season of Advent @Várkert Bazaar – Budapest

The Advent program series of the Várkert Bazaar will be organized for the 9th time heard at the press gathering  were present were: Krisztina Sikota, Deputy General Director of Tourism, Culture and Communication of the Castle Administration, who spoke about the forthcoming season of Advent specialities of the Castle Bazaar and the Budavári Palace Quarter. The Várkert Bazaar will open its doors on the 26th of November, when several concerts will begin. Performers will entertain the visiting audience in different genres and ends on 23rd of December.

The series of Advent events of Várkert Bazar, begins on the 26th of November with the album launch concert of singer Kati Wolf with her latest band. She added will be professional dancers, full-blooded pop-rock, the spinning rhythm.  Within her new album she tried herself as a lyricist for the first time.  Her songs tell about her own feelings.

Marcsi Borbás talked about the outdoor, open-air exhibition at the end of November, with Xmas gastronomy, namely “Tales around the table”.  Also on the 9th and 12th of December, she will hold a  presentation on the festive foods typical of the Carpathian Basin and the customs associated with them in an unusual guided tour within hot drinks and festive delicacies await those walking in the renewed Budavári Palace District. On the first three Sundays of Advent, children and their parents can occupy and enjoy  themselves at free crafts  gatherings from 10 a.m.

The Bagossy Brothers Company from Transylvania,  awaits the audience with a double Advent concert on the first Sunday of Advent on the 3rd of December. On the 9th of December, special concert titled “Dance in the Snow”. The Kossuth Prize-winning performer, composer, poet Tamás Szarka explained their special concert will tune to the holiday Season.

Sena Dagadu, singer of Irie Maffia will give a festive concert entitled “This family” on the 16th of December, accompanied by brass bands and a gospel choir. After last year’s highly successful performances, this year a fantastic double concert will be on the 17th of December with the participation of popular artists such as Dóri Behumi, Juci Németh, Bori Rutkai, György Ferenczi, Frenk, András Keleti, László Kollár-Klemencz and Mező Misi.

Kristóf Gáncs, the deputy president director and communications director of the Ecumenical Relief Society, drew attention to their national Advent fundraising campaign.

Family programs will not be missing … during the first three Sundays of Advent, children and their parents can enjoy free crafts gatherings from 10 a.m. They can make the family’s Advent wreath together, as well as small gifts and decorations for the holidays.

The Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra this year, as foreign orchestra with a thousand faces will add color to the Advent program on stage on the 10th of December.

The Honvéd Men’s Band, will give a festive concert entitled “Dawn of Advent”, featuring unusual pieces of music and transcriptions from the Renaissance to the present day.

The Hungarian tradition of applied arts is revived at the Advent fair, which will be held in the hall of the Várkert Bazaar. During the first three weekends of Advent, contemporary applied art awaits all those who want to give a gift of real value.  Artistic works of popular designers and award-winning designers on the spot. It will be possible to meet the creators of the objects and learn about the material, style, and history of the works of art: Selected industrial artists will hold special workshops with the co-operation of the Rearticon Art Association. Open to the public on Saturday, December 2, and 9, and 16. from 2 p.m. On Sundays, December 3 and 10, and 17. from 10 a.m.

The “Apostrophe “ series of the Várkert Literature is waiting for the public with a special Xmas edition,  entitled  “Angel’s music – candlelight“, visitors can experience the anticipation together and hear stories related to Advent and  hear family recipes for the upcoming Season on the 12th of December. This time the literary guest Anna Juhász will be Marcsi Borbás and writer Olga Szederkényi.

Regarding  the Xmas and New Year’s customs in the 19th century,  discussion will be held in Hungarian on the 5th of December in the “Mysterious History” series. The host of the program Csaba Katona – historian, talks with Zoltán Fónagy – associate professor of ELTE (Eötvös Loránt University of Science).

The 33rd. European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships – Budapest – 2017.

A new European Champion will be crowned at the László Papp Sports Aréna in the Hungarian capital, so we were told at to-day’s  press conference  held by: Dr. Judit Körmendy-Ékes – Chairman of the Hungarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Association, Sándor Altorjai – Secretary General of the Hungarian Gymnastics Association, Miklós Vaszily – CEO of the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA), Erika Deutsch-Lazsányi – Head of the Technical Committee of the Hungarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Association, Andrea Kovács – Competition Director.

At the press event, among other things, it was revealed who will be the members of the Hungarian national team, and who are the world stars to enter the carpet at the arena.

A new generation of stars will emerge in Budapest. In fact, only two former individual medallists are on the roster, Belarussian – Katsiaryna Halkina and Azerbaijan – Marina Durunda.

Already, 36 Federations have had confirmed their participation, with 84 individual senior gymnasts, and 150 junior gymnasts competing in the group exercise. Halkina will be joined by new colleagues Alina Harnasko and Yulia Isachanka who impressed in the junior Championships last year in Holon (ISR). From RussiaAleksandra Soldatova and the Averina twins, Dina and Arina. Viktoria Mazur and first-year senior Olena Diachenko will represent the Ukraine.

Known big name as from Kseniya Moustafaeva – France, Linoy Ashram Veinberg and Victoria Filanovsky – Israel and from Italy – new star Alexandra Agiurgiuculese will meet with Hungarian talentsAlexandra Kis, Míra Váray and Fanni Pigniczcki. In the junior team: Eszter Ákoshegyi, Korinna Borda, Cintia Földi, Dorottya Györe, Anna Juhász,, Emma Juhász, Dea Várkonyi will be on the carpet at the Arena.

Three days with the talented European Rhythmic Gymnastics  rolling the Hoop –  Ball  – Clubs –  Ribbon is a fine and pleasant time to spend the week-end experience an exciting artistic gymnastics by talented sporty girls.

Alexandra Kis will be competing for the first time in the senior European Championships. She is 17 years old. Started the rhythmic gymnastics  at the age of six. She is relishing the opportunity to show what she is capable of and will do she can to impress family, friends and the audience at the Laszlo Papp Arena.
