Daily tickets are available on the spot: 2000.- HUF.

Visiting hours during the 3 days from 10 a.m. -7 p.m., except for Saturday until midnight.

Millennium Park – ‘B’ Hall. – Budapest

Most probably many are expecting the spring after the winter months, right? By entering into the month of March, hopefully more-and-more sunshine days will finally come in our everyday. The awakening of nature, however, not only for us but also inspired the designers. Learn about the latest trends in which the citations of light and the nature of spring awakes by not only to have the nature glowing, but your surrounding environment as well.

During morning hours of the day, the representatives and exhibitors held a press gathering to the members of press and media by asking to spread the news of what to expect at this year’s Trend-Bang Festival. Each delegate gave an overview what will be out on the platforms at the Trend-Bang Fair 2012.

Mr. Károly Oláh, DELUX, the major sponsor of the event welcomed the press and media representatives with their slogan: “Let us re-color”. As he expressed himself, “The color research commando are working full year around the clock to see what color will be the trend in the coming year. With the use of colors we can also change the indoor and outdoor community areas.” So whether you believe it or not, it’s up to you, that the spectrum of colors affect our daily lives from the day of our birth.

“Let alone, Hungary should have a day of celebrating fashion”. Also a true thought “Be creative and not monotonous”, these were the opening words of Ms. Kata Jaksity, spokelady, Budapest Essential Looks. What can the visitors expect: Friday’s fashion day for the youth. Saturday: show of Hungarian manufactures. Sunday: A little space will be devoted to the wedding, hence the Spring is on its way. Mr. Gábor Balczer, FIAT Marketing Director was next and took the floor. More than 100 competitors took part within their imagination to add a new face to the FIAT Panda. The entry winner of the competition was Mr. Balázs Fischer’s Fiat Panda “colorful new dress”, voted by the audience.

Another grand sponsor of the Trend-Bang Fair is the MeeD, belonging to the Visegrád Fund “V4”, that stands of: the Polish Cultural Institute, the Czech and the Slovak Centre and of course us the Hungarians. Their meeting is supported by the Institute of Eastern and Central Eastern European Design. “Throughout the Fair seven foreign designers will be present. Those visitors who are interested in their products can listen to their presentation on the coming Sunday in English language.” said by Ms. Szilvia Szigeti, Organiser of “madeinhungary”. Mr. Ferenc Pertus, Artistic Director, representing the PannonArts Gallery gave information on the side of jewelry. There was a proposal of 105 jewelery artists and a number of nine were selected and now their products are exhibited. The collection can be viewed after the close until April, 15 at the a/m Gallery.

Had an interview with Mr. Henning Künstler, Marketing and Sales Manager, Moree Ltd. He briefly described his company saying: “The Moree Ltd was established in 2005 by the founders of Ms. Annette Wasmuth, Mr.Dirk Hagen Zimmermann and Mr. Christian Drawert. Their first product came out in 2006 introducing a new style of indoor and outdoor products. The company is rather small with having 20 employees. Their philosophy is to develop, manufacture and distribute illuminated furniture items. Their palette wide is rich: illuminated tables, side tables, sears, table lamps, home accessories, 16 colorful RC bulbs are just a few of their accessories that you may desire for your indoor and outdoor use. Their products are available in 20 countries and are out already as far as in Australia and South-America.” Just another last thought … when it comes to fashion, food, design, music we all have a different taste, which is alright. Yet, by this small Island brought from Germany to the Budapest’s Trend-Bang Fair surely presents the visitors to stand for a while, take pleasure in viewing their products. On the same Island, the PINXIT deals with: architecture, furniture design, interior design, set design for video shooting. Within their profile they deal with “PaintWall” that can been seen at the same time at the Moree stand. Grand ideas to color your world that surely will catch the eye. Last but not least, I hope giving some guidelines will take many to go and have a day out during the 3 days at the Trend-Bang Fair.

The Danish eco-friendly outdoor heater that can make you feel better in staying at an open-air coffee shops, restaurants in those cold, muggy, damping weather. With its height it fits under a table. Especially good to prevent your feet from freezing and makes you want to stay at the place much longer. The ultimate goal of this product is to zero the carbon-dioxide emission.

Speaker equipment in new cloths! Definitely, worthwhile to stroll over to the stand of Acoustic Furnitures by BIZSÓK Ltd. Mr. Béla Bizsók Vajk, Manager of the BIZSÓK Ltd. will welcome you and show you around in the land of hidden sounds. Great idea to have your  prefered sounds you wish to have in your own environment. CO-OPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE “FRADI” AND THE FOUNDATION „I DO NOT GIVE UP!”

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

FEBRUARY 28 IS THE DISABILITY DAY IN HUNGARY!

Aim is to promote an understanding of  the disability issues, to mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.

To-day’s Press Announcement was  just one example that proves, the Sporty World can be of support to the Foundation of those living with disabilities.

The “Ferencvaros” Sports Club (shorten form: FRADI) and the “I DO NOT GIVE UP!” Foundation signed a cooperation agreement by Mr. Pál Orosz, CEO of Football and Mr. Szabolcs Papp, foundation leader  in the early afternoon during at the press gathering,  in the “Toldi” hall at the “Albert” Football Stadium.

„I DO NOT GIVE UP!” is the “motto” of the foundation that was formed in late 2005. We believe that this is really true for everyone, talking about disabled people, Roma people living in poverty, or any person even the one who has everything he or she wants.

The foundation aims to provide the disadvantage members of society for some reason to be in helping them, to place faith in themselves to be independent in their own society and to help them to become in the future the human beings who they wish to become. The people who want to take part in responsibility for shaping Hungary. The opportunities for rehabilitation and prevention of disabilities is an important issue.

Mr. Pál Orosz, CEO of Football said, the FTC Football Club are willing to do everything in their power to give aid to the members the needy. He also added: “The first sign of this will be done from the beginning of March, when the FRADI football players will be all wearing throughout their match the tops with the inscription of “I do not give up”. The FTC first spring opening match will be during the evening hours on Saturday, the 3rd of March with the “Debrecen” football team. The first kick has been sold already, but later on the members of the group will be given the opportunity to do their “first” kick on the field.”

Another remarks from Mr. Pál Orosz was: “Later on we would like to introduce the members of the group to the FTC fans, by given group an opportunity to play their music during the games break time.”

The foundation leader, Mr. Szabolcs Papp, was pleased to hear this forthcoming opportunity. He was happy to say: “We do not want to disturb anyone on the FRADI grounds, but it would be a pleasure for us, if we could play football at one of the FRADI’s facilities. There we could all do our sporty with pleasure.

“A better world for us” is a series of events young people with disabilities set up by organized programs, which proved that the disadvantaged people and victims are able to set an example for society. In recent years 4 charity concerts were held at the Budapest Sport Arena, whereas a total of forty million HUF income was reached. From this amount already achieved and still having ongoing objectives: orphanage renovation, construction of eco homes for disabled people, organizing camps, events, creative therapy program, job creation programs for people with disabilities.

At the end of the press gathering  the group  played and sang along their motto: “I DO NOT GIVE UP”…

Well many of us who are “on the other side of the moon” should not give up to be handy for the needy.

2nd District – 16-20 Kis Rókus Str. – Budapest

Saturday: 9 .am. – 9 p.m.

Sunday: 9 a.m. – 8 .p.m.

Entry ticket price:1,900.-HUF

To-day’s press conference was held by the participation of Ms.Csákiné dr. Christina Gyuris, Deputy Director General, National Authority for Consumer Protection and Mr. Krisztián Pap, Managing Director of  Hand-made Hungarian Flavors Ltd. and Ms. Marcsi Borbás, the fair’s hostess.  Just like the previous year, the  Hand-made  Hungarian Flavours and Handicrafts will be arranged at the same scene  at the Millennium Center.  Both representatives, the National Authority for Consumer Protection and the Managing Director of  Hand-made Hungarian Flavors Ltd  held their press conference describing the mutual cooperation for the first time  in order to promote and protect the traditional Hungarian cuisines.

The representatives talked about the list of products, the flavors of  the hand-made flavors  that will be revealed by anyone rolling along, viewing Hungary’s  huge “Map of  Tastes” on the spot. A fine time to learn about the area the food originates and its traditional culinary specialities. Thereafter, go and have the samples to gain your own experiences.

Hungary is a country of tradition within its rich and tasty flavors. It is a part of the Hungarian culture.

The organizers will be preparing a stage with an ongoing cooking show. There many visitors can also collect ideas to  prepare their menu for  weekends to come.

The full price of the entry ticket can be used to purchase, buy some goodies at the store of the Hungarian hand-made flavors: 3rd District. 4/B Szőlőkert Rd. Budapest.

This year, just like at the previous year’s fair will be under the patronage of Mrs. Schmittné, Katalin Makray,  wife of the President of Hungary,  Dr. Sándor Fazekas, professional patron, Minister of the Urban Development . Ms. Marcsi Borbás, editor, presenter who also be  hostess of the fair.

The representatives of the National Authority for Consumer Protection wish to encourage the visitors to not only speak about their previous  failures, but to hear about their positive experiences, as to indicate the pleasure of their choice and gather opinion why it won their approval.

To go through the list of 5000  Hungarian  culinary specialities  would take ages, so therefore here is just two delicacies I would raise everyone’s attention. The  mouth-watering: smoked trout from “Szilvásvárad” (country’s one-and-only artificially kept pond of trouts).  The other that shouldn’t be missed to taste: the artisan “bükki” cheese.

Now it’s up to the curious visitors to get the best-of-the-best of the Hungarian hand-made flavors by making sure to be there at one of the days, but  I am not certain that after paying  the first visit  there will not be some going  back the next day to continue the discovery, to explore what have had been  left out of tasting the day before. Most probably there will be more tasting to follow and understand by own experiences why the Hungarians love their traditional home-made flavors.

THE HUNGARIAN DANCE ACADEMY 60th ANNIVERSARY

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

(In 1950, the State Ballet Institute, was established in the Hungarian Dance Academy. The main purpose was to support within the special training in this academic institution. To provide: the dancers with professional responsibility, dance teachers, choreographers and theoretical training of professionals to the universal and the national culture. Also including the values of dance, based on their high level of craftsmanship used in the domestic and international dance scene artistic, educational and creative activities.)

Sometimes it is not the right time to make compliments in carrying out changes, but the “must” sometimes have to be been taken seriously. This happened at the Hungarian Dance Academy by the commitment to improve the energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.

Mr. György Szakály, Rector and Ms. Julianna Rajta , Project manager at the Hungarian Dance Academy invited the press and media representatives to the gathering combined with a presentation ceremony, as to share their news and joy with us to their newly  renovated building’s doors and windows.  Also Mr. Gábor Stumph, Managing Director at AMPAST,  Ms. Emese Gáspár, Project assistant were present. The past years these objects were hardly to be closed properly and  it gave hard time for the 300 to 450 training people at the indoors of the Academy. The project was supported by the European Union and on upon the Hungarian side by the New Széchényi Plan, the Cohesion Fund, co-financing. The project cost was almost 45million HUF that was supported by 85% of the European Union and 15% by the Hungarian Nation.

The Hungarian Dance Academy completed its library development project at the end of December 2011. not much time has passed and the tender to realize the building’s thermal renovation took place and now in February 2012. the rector of the Academy was happy to say: “We have reached our goal. The Environment and Energy Operational Program provided the us the  right support system. The energy consumption provided for the future the lower cost of heating to the Hungarian Dance Academy. The High School building insulation and window replacement was achieved through the application.  Furthermore, after the replacement of the windows, they are good through closing, there will be no cover, the heat insulation of the inner wall temperature will be higher, the better for the students and staff comfort. The 132 number of windows had been replaced. The project was supported by the European Union and funded by the support of the Cohesion Fund.”

Thanks to the investment it dues to decrease the greenhouse gas emissions and as once said by Mr. Neil Armstrong: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” To-day it is more than important than ever!

Significantly, red and the natural gas consumption, ie moderating the energy bill of cca. 2.7 million HUF/ year. Of course the economic savings will be significantly much more.

At the end of the press gathering, the college students gave a short performance to show their kindness to the appeared press and media  members. Strolling up to the slide show can be seen bit-and-peices of the grand performances like : Tchaikovsky: Nut-cracker, Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake,  Minkus – Petipa: Pirate,  Hungarian folk dance: Rotation dance of “Pálpataki”, Hungarian folk dance “Czardas”: slow and fresh from “Madocsa”, Dense and rare pace from “Széki” area, Tchaikovsky:  Russian dance from the Nut-cracker.

Between February, 24 to 29.  the Berlin Dance Olympics will be held.  Ms. Noemi Verbőczi  and Mr. Kristóf Kovács,  both of them aged 14 and  in the IVth. professional year of their ballet class will join the tournament as to be presenting the Hungarian Dance Academy.

Wish to close my update by saying … Thanks to the investment that dues to decrease the greenhouse gas emissions and as once said by the famous Mr. Neil Armstrong: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”  To-day it is more than important than ever!

OMEGA 50 … “WAS I DREAMING OR IS IT PERHAPS TRUE” JUBILEE CONCERT

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Their lyrics have had became their motto:

“WAS I DREAMING OR IS IT PERHAPS TRUE”  – A LINE FROM  – “THE GIRL WITH PEARL HAIR”

The coming series of the Jubilee Symphony Concert

starting at

March, 19. 2012

Győr Stadium

The follow-up concerts will take place at : Zalaegerszeg, Tatabánya, Békéscsaba, Nyíregyháza, Szolnok, Kaposvár, Steged Szombathely and Pécs

The past days a press conference was organized at the Symbol Entertainment Center – Budapest by the Omega group who invited the press and media to spread their special announcement.

Despite the fact that I sat in the front row, as the members of the Omega group gathered on the platform  an “army” of photographers flooded the scene. Only was able to do my first shot and that”s when their bottoms  came in. Anyway my orange juice infront of me on the table got a superb snap. When graciously infested their obstructions, those others who wished to capture the moment were not  filled with so much patience. Never-the-less, I hope viewing my snaps will show a part of  that light-mood  the Omega group gave during their press conference.

On the 9th of March the special series of concert  will take place at the City of Eger  by celebrating their ongoing, active 50 years on stage. The band to be seen has the same members since the 70’s: Mr. László Benkő (Laci) keyboards, Mr. János Kobor (Macky) vocalist, Mr. Tamás Mihály (Misi) bass guitar and György Molnár (Elephant), Mr. Ferenc Debreceni (Ciki ) drums .

Macky said it all: “All our dreams came true. We would like to celebrate with the  presence together with a special instrumentation country concert tour. The “final” concert given at Budapest in the late fall would be the“crown” on top of our eras. Even though we are all at full strength, this will be a final line-up with the whole group members when and where we wish to say good-bye as the Omega group”

The huge party in Budapest in October the Omega band in this line-up will place a full-stop to their 50 years of rolling hits.

The speciality of this spring’s tour will exist of three parts. The concerts will begin with the symphonic world and what is a concert without the nostalgia and then after as a closure with their awesome classic rock tunes.

Within the program well-known hits will be played also by the Symphony Orchestra.

Just a stop for a moment to say add a few thoughts to their 50 years on the road: According to legend, the two Laci and Macky formed as one of the band of two school’s groups. At the time being they haven’t chosed a name for their band. Previously, to their first concert the organizers asked them what is the band’s name. Both pulled up their shoulders and said  “we have no name”. That was a  for  the organizers surprise.  When later seeing the poster that herald their concert to come, it was written the  Omega band playing. So like a fairy tale from there on they used this name for the group. In those days they have never thought of this is their first step in reaching the scale to be one of the most favorite beat groups in Hungary. During the years there were many musicians in the  group coming-and-going. In the early years they played those top-of-the-pops that were on the UK and American hit-parades. Also in those years another two Hungarian “beat” groups formed their bands. The Zorán group and the Illés group. The first played foreigner beat music, the second group played their own Hungarian modern folks stamping music. Even though these two bands were most appreciated by the music authority in those days, the Omega group was far-far behind in the field of recognition. Somehow their talent wasn’t quite recognized.  The a/m mentioned two groups ain’t existing  as a group they were. Some members have gone ahead, some stopped playing. The Omega band survived the old dark days and luckily the members since  the 70’s are still even here for us to-day.

Omega’s first hit was Shout and Sing “Kiabálj énekelj”. They had enormous success with this tune and shortly after they were the first group to hit the road to the homeland, the birth of the new era called beat music. They really felt being in the “wonderland”, cause after giving their concert in London, Mr. Eric Clapton and Mr. George Harrison (R.I.P.) came up to the back-stage and  expressed their congratulations. More to it,  the Decca offered a  them a recording contract. Thenafter, the unprecedented international recognition, “finally” the Hungaroton (Hungarian Recording Company) offered them a contract.   They produced an album which was the first album of-a-kind in beat music to come out in Hungary. Straightaway hit the charts and the 100.000 vinyls reach the status and became a gold record. From here on, they became popular, invited to TV-shows, played roles in movies. Then came the times when they started producing hits-after-hits like the Ten Thousand Footsteps “Tizezer lépés“ .

The Girl with Pearl Hair ”Gyöngyhajú lány”.  A pure beautiful oldie tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXf6oBZxfCo

The Girl with Pearl Hair won several awards at the Yamaha Festival, Mallorca Festival and at the Barbarella Festival.

Those were the days when the name Omega group had defined, reached an unmistakable image. No other Hungarian band has managed to achieve this kind of success, even to-day.

The Czech and Polish reproductions were completed and the Omega songs also became popular in that part of the world.

Mr.Frank Schöbel, Eastern Germany’s famous singer also filled into his repertoire  and sang his version of  The Girl with Pearl Hair.

Later on the Scorpions rewrote the lyrics to the “The Girl with Pearl Hair” and they came out with their own title:  “White Dove” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z_-HmbuKTY

A couple of Omega songs were brought alive in Germany by the Scorpions group. Throughout the years they bonded a deep friendship. Here is a song mutually sang together with the Scorpions: “Wind of Change”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4OwGez8ffU

The Omega band name is linked to uncountable gold, platinum records and they were the first one to receives the diamond plate.

After fifty years of notes and kilometers on tours, this coming Spring the Omega band wish to give a dignified final series of concerts and invite their fans to join and celebrate together the past in their present.

As also told at the end of the gathering to the press and media representatives, The Omega as a whole will not step on the stage in the future. The years gone by not just for the group but for themselves as well. Mr. János Kobor (Macky) will be celebrating this year his  70th birthday and he said, “It wouldn’t be fair to make any promises as to be touring-and-touring like we did before.”  In the mean time and as for the  future it was announced that a part of the members will be going on doing  their own solo albums.

Finally as a closure here is a  tune that won’t be a stranger when they will play it throughout the cities from North to South, East to West of Hungary: “Woman of Summer Nights” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Dw_s8F5rA8&feature=related.

I believe, many will be at these concerts, cause their music is not just a part of the Omega’s  50 years,

but also a part of our own lives.

Nothing is more heartwarming than when two country’s culture meet as one to celebrate its past and present.

For those who had the chance to be present at the not so long ago evening gala surely will  remember the lovely melodies and grand artist performers who gave so much delightful enjoyment to the Chinese and Hungarian guests and visitors.  Watching and hearing the awesome piece of art  from the far-far-away country’s traditional culture was simply superb. Most probably,  for the Hungarians viewers, the world of artists was “exotic” just like for the Chinese guests to see the Hungarian artist was “exotic” for them as well.

The Opening at the Gala was in two languages: Chinese and Hungarian
