The Central and Eastern European Contemporary Art Fair:

October, 27-30, 2011. Budapest

 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Thursday

 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Sunday

It was a pleasure to drop by over the River Danube to the Buda-side up to the  Millenarian Convention Center “Millenáris” to see the Art Market  of 2011. It is  fine place to meet artists, teachers of art, gallery folks and collectors.  The list of materials in use by the artists is enormous. Just a few seen at the exhibition: ceramics, glass, metals. Out on display were a volume of artworks that were previously exhibited  abroad at  international art fairs. The past years modern hotel’s halls have had given a space to hold exhibitions by contemporary artists and by all means also decorated, uplifted the area.  Contemporary art has entered the contemporary photography. A new dimension to add to the  modern art. You can peak into these artistic trends at the Fair.

Throughout Budapest there are many growing galleries, just like the mushrooms: home-galleries, cellar-galleries, rearranged basements of huge luxury flats, and hotels, you name it.

Here’s an insight to the following days programs. One or the other may fit into your time and program to see this huge national and international art fair.
