World of Coffee (WOC), Europe’s largest coffee trade show organized by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), has come to a close in Berlin on June, 8. Nearly twelve thousand coffee professionals descended on the German capital for three days to network on the show floor, take part in the most extensive lecture series to date, and to also watch over 80 champions from around the globe competed in Berlin at the 2019 World Latte Art, World Coffee in Good Spirits, World Cup Tasters, and Cezve/Ibrik Championships,
The BWT water+more returned as host sponsor of World of Coffee for the fifth year in a row and to Cafés de Peru who represented their country’s coffee producing families as this year’s Portrait Country.
The newly-crowned champions were: World Latte Art Champion: Manuela Fensore – Italy. World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion: Dan Fellows – UK World Cup Tasters Champion: Daniel Horbat – Ireland. World Cezve/Ibrik Champion: Sergey Blinnikov – Russia.
Best New Product + Design Lab Awards were recognized as new products judged on their quality and value to the specialty coffee and tea industry at the show. The WOC’s first ever Design Lab Awards were presented in four categories, celebrating great design in the coffee industry.
World of Coffee 2020 to Take Place in Warsaw, Poland June, 18-20. 2020 at the Ptak Warsaw Expo exhibition center.
