With Halloween approaching and the middle of the decade, the Hungarian Film Database has summarized the ten favorite horror films of Hungarian viewers from the 2020s.

The Invisible Man” lead the TOP 10 list. Without “Voice 2″ was in second place and “Scream” 5 was also on the podium.

The 4th “The Menu” and the 5th “The Black Phone” was the most popular horror film.

The first four films are all related to large studios, well-known titles, but they are not simple “slashers”.

The audience appreciates the independent concept and new approach when horror also carries dramatic, psychological or social elements, not just spooky scares.

Hungarian viewers are also open to the crossover of sci-fi and horror, and they are more looking for tension and atmosphere, not blood.
