On October 8, Bernadett Mayer’s film Mommy Blue will be released in Hungarian cinemas through InterCom. Hungarian comedy drama.
The main characters of this personally inspired work, made with the support of the NFI Incubator program, are Anikó Für and Benett Vilmányi, but we will also see István Znamenák and Andrea Waskovics on the screen. We follow the relationship between a woman who is gradually losing her sight and her son who has just become a father. They must find healthy boundaries between dependence and care, selfishness and selflessness. The film, which features great actors, has an intimate atmosphere and is bittersweet, and despite their difficulties, the lovable characters in it exude an inextinguishable cheerfulness.

It is no wonder that Mommy Blue has already traveled the world before its domestic premiere and has become a true festival favorite: it was featured in the Work in Progress category of the Karolvy Vary Film Festival, in the official program of the Beijing, Jerusalem, Bled and Palic festival, and will have its domestic premier at the Miskolc Cinefest.
