You Bet Your Gonna Love it @ Tori Amos Concert – Budapest

Since her debut album Little Earthquakes in 1992, the North Carolina-born singer, pianist, and songwriter has built a body of work characterized by fearless storytelling and a unique musical voice.
In Times of Dragons, the singer’s eighteenth studio album, is a worthy continuation of her oeuvre to date: a sweeping, lyrical journey of perseverance and spiritual awakening, where the desire for freedom confronts the forces that seek to dominate and silence the world. “In Times of Dragons is a metaphorical story about the struggle between democracy and tyranny, reflecting the current, deliberately created and horrific decline of democracy – by the actions of the ‘dictator-believing lizard monsters’ who are usurping America,” said Tori Amos.

The album’s release will be accompanied by the artist’s biggest European tour in a decade, which will take her through seventeen countries between April and May 2026. This time, she will be accompanied by her old, loyal musical partners: musical director and bassist Jon Evans, drummer Ash Soan, and three talented backing vocalists: Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavlinka and Hadley Kennary. The tour concerts will feature songs from the new album – In Times of Dragons, as well as the most memorable compositions of the artist’s 35-year, unparalleled career, from a great oeuvre that has earned her eight Grammy nominations and more than has become a defining chapter in contemporary music with twelve million albums sold. With In Times of Dragons, he once again masterfully intertwines his political and personal message, in a deeply felt, thought-provoking work that resonates with the urgent, disturbing atmosphere of the present, while remaining true to his artistic courage and unique musical vision.

Tori Amos has the capability of turning a beautiful song into something even more astounding, with overwhelming emotions.

Halloween & All Saints’ Day Both Go Hand in Hand

Halloween itself goes back to the tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts away.

Halloween actually has significant Catholic roots. The name itself comes from All Hallow’s Eve … that is, the Vigil of All Saints’ Day. Catholics remember those who have gone before them to enter their heavenly home. Immediately afterwards, on the 2nd of November, the Church commemorates all the faithful departed still detained in Purgatory, and prays in suffrage for them.

The modern celebration of Halloween on the 31st of October – All Hallows Eve, the night before the Christian festival of All Hallows’ Day or All Saints’.

Halloween has become one of the year’s holidays, with countless children and adults not just dressing up in the favorit constums for the event. In Hungary the carved pumkin takes the roll in the celebration, not only decorate them at home, but they also take them out to public areas to celebrate with lit candles inside the cavered pumpkins. In the late twentieth century it became increasingly marketised, and is now-a-days specialty shops devoted to Halloween merchandise … orgy of costumes, fake cobwebs, novelty horror items, lollies and chocos, also with stalls stands on street selling alsorts of gadgets.

All Saints’ Day is a national public holiday in Hungary.

All Saints’ Day was first celebrated in its current form in 609 AD when Pope Boniface IV moved the feast to November the 1st. as the Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Pantheon in Rome to the Virgin Mary and all martyr.

At this time of the year throughout the country many visit the cemeteries and lighten up the graves bathed in candlelights, wreaths cover the graves, and in the silence, each flame preserves a memory. Moments of quiet remembrance, past is recalled in every family. This time is not only about mourning, but also about hope, togetherness and the respect for life. Many attend by special commemorations in church to remember the dead.

“Together we succeed” Campaign – Roundtable Discussion 2025.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

On Thursday, 30th of October. 2025., participated by invitaion at a roundtable discussion held by the Candy X MÖS. The venue was at the Frame4Studio – District VIII. Német Str. 16. Budapest, whereas was present István Huczka – CEO of Candy Hoover Hungary Ltd., Kristóf Gáncs – CEO of the Ecumenical Aid Organization, Dorottya Révfalvi – Head of the Ecumenical Aid Organization’s National Aid Center, and Dániel Gyurta – Olympic champion swimmer whom shared their thoughts on why they instinctively feel the need to help, how can find the most sincere, humane form of doing so, and what difficulties have had to face.

“It’s good to help, but it’s not always easy!” so said István Huczka – CEO of Candy Hoover Hungary Ltd. and contuniued Q.:”We want to help because empathy for others is deeply encoded in us as humans. Yet we often feel uncertain about what we are doing enough? Isn’t it too little, isn’t it too late? Sometimes good intentions can be accompanied by anxiety or a feeling of helplessness.” Contiuned Q.” “For us, social responsibility is a human matter. Just as we serve the convenience of institutions with our products, we also want to set an example in how to make helping a part of everyday life, naturally, honestly, and based on values. In order to achieve this, our strategic co-operation with the Ecumenical Relief Organization was established.”

These topics, among others, were discussed at the roundtable discussion held within the framework of the strategic co-operation between Candy Hoover Hungary Ltd., and the Ecumenical Aid Organization.

The co-operation between Candy Hoover Hungary Ltd. and the Ecumenical Relief Organization is a model of real help. The company not only donates household appliances to the institutions operated by the relief organization, but also actively participates in projects, value creation and attitude formation. In 2025, more than ten institutions have had already and will receive modern, reliable household appliances, but the real value lies not in these machines, but in attention and co-operation.

According the culture of giving help to the needy Kristóf Gáncs – executive director of the Aid Organization said Q.:” The true power of co-operation lies in providing real, thoughtful responses to the needs of communities. “Help really starts to work when we think and act together, it’s not just the donation that counts, but the human connection, the shared commitment.”

Dániel Gyurta – Olympic champion swimmer put it this way: “Me in helping stands about the community for over 12 years. About the fact that we can all do something for others, and that this responsibility is not only reflected in actions, but also in attitude. I believe that attention and co-operation are what really move us forward.” Added “Yes, participated in delivering chopped wood in order for indivituals to survive in the cold winter days, for example, they do not have the money to buy chopped wood for their heating (of course, we help them not to pick up the parquet and in use for heating their place (this was not told as a joke!) It is important to operate transparently, so that needy people and families really get the needed support

Dorottya Révfalvi – Head of the Ecumenical Aid Organization’s National Aid Center, highlighted within their activities said Q.” This year we have had already received seventy thousand requests, which included, for example, mothers raising alone children in family homes, private individuals, the elderly ones etc. All donations should reach those in need with the greatest efficiency. There are human destinies where it is not possible to help in an hour or so, or even one day, but long-term support is needed. It doesn’t matter whether we help reactively by saying yes to requests that come to us, or actively, walking our own path, looking for how we can help others.

The “Together we can do it” campaign is thus not only a joint action, but also an invitation to a new way of thinking, so that helping should not be only special occasion, holidays, but a natural gesture of everyday life. It’s good to help, but it’s not always easy therefore not to give up!

Personally, hope that not only popular people, but Offices, Factories, Firms and Companies based in Hungary will follow the example one-way-or-another in supporting “The Needy folks!”

After the presentations and talking with the invited guests we were invited to a joint yummy lunch.

The roundtable discussion was organized by the knkpr.hu marketing communication and PR consulting agency.

Halloween Approaching – TOP 10 Horror Films

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

With Halloween approaching and the middle of the decade, the Hungarian Film Database has summarized the ten favorite horror films of Hungarian viewers from the 2020s.

The Invisible Man” lead the TOP 10 list. Without “Voice 2″ was in second place and “Scream” 5 was also on the podium.

The 4th “The Menu” and the 5th “The Black Phone” was the most popular horror film.

The first four films are all related to large studios, well-known titles, but they are not simple “slashers”.

The audience appreciates the independent concept and new approach when horror also carries dramatic, psychological or social elements, not just spooky scares.

Hungarian viewers are also open to the crossover of sci-fi and horror, and they are more looking for tension and atmosphere, not blood.

Unicum Trezor XO to be available again from November this year.

Zwack Unicum’s exclusive herbal liqueur, Unicum Trezor XO, which debuted in 2024, will be available again in the Unicum Ház sample store and Zwack’s webshop from November 5, 2025. Following the introduction and success of the company’s luxury drink last year, an additional 517 serially numbered bottles will be released this year – this is the last chance for those interested to get their hands on the original series, which has been aged for 10 years since 2013.

The speciality was conceived in memory of Péter Zwack, and was put into barrel exactly one year after his death, as a worthy gesture of remembrance. Due to the aging capacity of the cellar section, the carefully guarded stock of Unicum Trezor XO is put into barrel once a year, in extremely limited quantities. Each year, a limited amount of Unicum, sufficient for a maximum of 2-3 thousand bottles, can be dedicated to the production of the drink.

Unicum Trezor XO has opened a new era in the life of the brand, which has a history spanning several centuries. The herbal liqueur, aged for ten years in oak barrels and then in French wine barrels, is a true masterpiece, in which the traditional recipe and the noblest elements of modern, premium beverage production meet. The drink in the bottle reveals special depths worthy of the “XO” – or “Extra Old” designation: its aroma reveals vanilla, tropical spices and sophisticated woody notes, while its taste is completed by more than 40 medicinal herbs, mature oak and silky chocolate tones. This is a new dimension of Unicum – rich, sophisticated and unique, in which the essence of respect for tradition and Zwack’s professional heritage comes to life.

Zwack’s limited edition luxury liqueur is available again from November, 5. 2025. On the spot from 10 a.m. in the Unicum House sample store.

The historic first series of Unicum Trezor XO will now be available for the last time … so gear up and drop over to taste it
