The Szabad Tér has traditionally held its 7th Advent Xmas Fair, yesterday which was open to visitors by Teodóra Bán Managing Director and Artistic Director at the City Hall Park (district, VI. Budapest) adjacent to Deák tér. The City Hall Park is a popular venue, mostly occupied by tourist throughout the year. Especially for the foreigners staying, living in Budapest worthwhile just a hop over from the nearby hotels and also to other attractive venues.
Yesterday, the first candle was lit on the occasion to the opening of the Advent Xmas Fair by Mayor Gergely Karácsonyi and Dr. Ferenc Beran, parish priest of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Budapest-Újlaki pronounced blessing. Choir of the Józsefváros Music School also participates at the event.
The City Hall Park dressed in festive decorations is an excellent opportunity to visit the colorful bustle for families with children attend at several workshops, handicrafts, interactive games every day of the week.
The organizers welcome not only families of the district residents but also from other district of Budapest in the heated hut on the spot.
