This is not just an ordinary pumpkin festival … it is Budapest’s charity pumpkin festival coming around this Saturday at the Heroes Square, starting from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. October, 28. 2017.
For those attendants who what to get into the mood are called to bring their own homemade Halloween pumpkin… why cause at the gathering don’t wish to be pumpkinless… right?!? This evening also calls the participants to bring 1-3 cans or any non-perishable food. All the food will be delivered to the needy children. In other words… all the food go to a non-profit organization, called “Gyermekétkeztetési Alapitvány (Child Nutrition Fundation) and please take a look at the expiration date of the foods!
Since 1993, the Foundation for the Childhood Foundation has been the primary goal of the Foundation to ensure that every child receives sufficient and healthy nutrition regularly. According to national and international surveys 20000 children currently go hungry in Hungary.
This will be a free, non-profit event. There will be no cordons or podium. At the Herero Square anyone can place their pumpkin anywhere but avoid the crowd around the statue. You come along, dress up in your Halloween costume and your pet as well. Kindly request not to allow the children to climb up to the statue and also to take care of each other.
