October, 6-11. – CAfe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival

The consistent pursuit of organizers is to move closer to the ‘east’ and ‘west’ positions, to support Eastern European musicians, ie to straighten the course. The Budapest Ritmo showcase program in addition to three Hungarian bands from our region and the international jury will meet the musicians and the audience so was told yesterday to the media gathering at the Akvárium Hall – Budapest.

Second year, the Budapest RITMO festival is just around the corner. Last year Finland, this year’s guest of honor Israel and Jewish art and artists will be present. A real multicultural fiesta from Israel welcoming the audience.

Budapest RITMO – 2017., offers unique productions this year with the world music artists arriving from over 20 countries, performing 3 days at several stages of the Aquarium Club, organized by CAFe Budapest and Hangvető.

A wide-spread of bands from the Central European region will be hosted. From contemporary classical music to theater premieres, from popular music and jazz to dance and visual art, the art of our times will again be highlighted in the Hungarian capital during October 6-11. 2017.In the vein of last year’s Ritmo, new co-operation between Hungarian and foreign artists will be fostered, exceptional productions born. This October, violin phenomenon Félix Lajkó with fascinating Polish string band VOŁOSI will blow you away; the young stars of tambour, Söndörgő and Amsterdam Klezmer Band will team up to rock you. Veronika Harcsa sings with explosive Transglobal Underground & Fanfara Tirana. The legendary singer Mónika Miczura “Mitsou” of Ando Drom fame and Tunisian Jawhar will enchant you with their delicate duet. A superb occasion to get to know more about the best Central and Eastern European bands. Check out the rarely heard South American and African artists in the heart of Budapest: Akvárium Klub, for 3 days.

Budapest Ritmo Conference is the biggest world music forum in Central Europe. Actors in the scene discuss current trends and challenges from an international vantage point, with a marked Central European focus. This year panels deal with: organizing tours in Central and Eastern Europe and overseas; key players in the world music industry; working with agents; trends in music education; promoting bands from the Balkans. Budapest Ritmo Conference offers insight into the music industry, a great occasion for networking, getting to know the movers and shakers of world music and addressing current topics. On the 5th of October Hungarian and foreign bands selected by an international jury.   The well-known in the profession  Ben Mandelson … He has been 30 years ago in the London pub at the birth of a world music band. Also with 11 independent publishers have come together to find a way to distribute the difficult-to-define style effectively. It is no exaggeration that Mandelson is one of the key person in the international scene, Was  one of the founder at the birth of WOMEX , furthermore, he was the founder of the 3 Mustafas 3 band in the legendary ’82, who first went on tour in Eastern Europe. The founder of the inevitable Glitterbeat publisher – Chris Eckmann, will also be in Budapest from Ritmo Courtesy. They are  also verified names like Aziza Brahim and Tamikrest, who are sure to find the talent and win the prizes year after year in a world-class. Also great is the fact that Jun Lin Yeoh – artistic leader of the festival, is attracting tens of thousands of Jewels to the Jungle. The ventilation of the panels is intended to provide many opportunities for networking, and international experts are open to concrete co-operation in addition to topic proposals. Entry on this day is free of charge, but to attend need previous registration.  The daily ticket is also valid to enter the conference venue. The conference sessions are in English language.

nd. October). Three-day pass: 7500HUF (in advance until the 1st. of October) / 10500HUF (from the 2nd October).
