The home-made cheeses cannot be compared to any factory manufactured ones. The freshness, the  herbs, or even with the added fruits takes us into the world of splendid delights.

The fine wines simply opens the heart and enchant the blink of an eye into a world where gathering members of family, making friendships and goals are made.

Saturday, November, 24.   10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

11 a.m. Welcoming the Hungarian Olympians. The first Hungarian Ceremonial Parade with the Cheese and the Wine Order of Knights.

Sunday, November, 25.  10 a.m. – 6 p.m. 

The wine makers never rest … especially on a day like this when they can introduce their new wines,  just to please the wine lovers.  Work hard throughout the year, sometimes fighting with the weather conditions … no spring, neither summer, nor fall …  just to make the best wines in Hungary. The Hungarian farmers, cheese makers also have hardly the time to rest, and as I was told it needs a lot of work, but it  is worthwhile seeing, hearing the shoppers are satisfied with the quality and taste.

As we yearly reach the month of November, all the cellar are full of their year’s new wines. Naturally, all the wine makers  wish to introduce their „finest wines”  Where else would they do it, if not at historical venues at the Castle of Vajdahunyad here in Budapest.  This time the scenario is inside the Castle of Vajdahunyad. This year something new was added to the previous years New Wine and Chesse Festival.  Titled:  “Meet the Hungarian athletes”  participated at the London 2012 Olympics Games.

The visitors will have a chance to talk with at least fifteen  masters of cheese producers, and  get  an  inside  picture  of eighty  professional winemaker’s from the rich vineyards of Hungary. There will be around 200 new wines awaiting have a snip or two. Special about this event, there will be wines not yet available out at the stores. The Castle of Vajdahunyad will be heated up also  by the wine  professionals  awaiting for the results in their competition of the „Best Hungarian New Wine of 2012” There will be also outgoing  special award for the „Best Hungarian Chesse of 2012” collected by the votes from the visitors.

Price of the daily ticket  2000HUF is available on the spot. Along with the ticket goes a wine glass with the logo of 9th new wine of the year.  The visitors can take these  wine glasses home  Anyone can go from one table to the other and taste the  hand-made cheeses.  In addition with the pass tickets the Hungarian Agricultural Museum  exhibition can also be visited.  The visitors may taste all the mouth-watering cheeses  by Mr.and Ms.  FERENC KISS from Körösladány, then after rinse down with a wide variety of tasty wines.

Would be a pity to miss some of the mouth-watering rich in  taste  the „PÁNTLIKA” wines from Dörgicse, Mr. Ferenc TOTH’s wine from Eger, Mr. János  BEDNANICS from Tököl the rosé cuveé, Mr. Zsolt IPACS’s, from Budaőrs  the previously gold medal awarded outstanding rosé wine and the excellent wine from the “LIDIA” wine house.
