SPOOKY NIGHT AT THE BUDAPEST ZOO … HERE COMES HALLOWEEN!

The Fall has surely fell into our laps and also the season brought along the season of pumpkins but that’s not all!

RECONSTRUCTION WORKS ARE GOING ON AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE GATE!

Therefore, the entrance to the Zoo is at the “Elephant Gate”, just a short  walk, on your right upwards from the main entrance gate.  The Budapest  Zoo’s visitors on a spooky night of October 31, when and where inside the Zoo, Halloween will be in the air and around  the paths .  Be aware when you see a triangle eyes and nose with a zig-zag mouth of pumpkins, invading ghosts and witches will be watching your steps! So you better watch yours as well!

Better to get ready in advance cause no matter whether it will rain or having strong winds, the presence of skeletons during Halloween also won’t be missing at the Budapest Zoo !

Some of the inhabitants at the Budapest Zoo already looks like scary Halloween creatures. O.K. just kidding … So maybe they get less attention than those of the animals which are beautiful in appearance.

The entry is free for children under the age of 14 for those who arrive with a Jack-o-lantern’s face. Also pinning, dressed up in any kind of Halloween costumes, having their faces painted to match the scare out of anyone. Drawn, painted or printed bat or come along with any gadgets which are characteristic connected to the spooky Halloween days-or-nights! So this is a great time for those kids who have a lot of free time on their hands.

In the forthcoming 4days (throughout the country we will have a long week-end).  The All Saints’ Day (November, 1.)  is Celtic origin, a Christians celebration in honor of relatives, friends or righteous men who have gone ahead) In Hungary after 2001 it has also became a non-working day. In the Anglo-Saxon countries the All Saints Day is a day before Halloween … called: All Saints Eve.

During these four days out of the kindergarten or school  it won’t be boring at all for those who come out to the Zoo, because each day there will be holding Halloween programs … face painting (throughout the 4 days), carving mini pumpkins, nature shooting (Thursday and Saturday), glass painting, napkin technique (Friday and Sunday),  magical magic show (Saturday and Sunday). All programs are from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. except Saturday and Sunday, when the magic show starts at 2 p.m. till 2.30 p.m.

A little treat and surprise will await for those children who tip-toe into the Zoo from 2 p.m. at the Elephant  Gate, whereas a representative  from the Zoo will watch carefully and select the most inventive outfit. The kids will receive a little gift as a reward.

Now who wouldn’t want to be present? So if you wish not  to miss this great adventure, mark the dates in your calendar.

Maybe it is worth noting … since mainly “creeping outside” we are in deep Fall,  better to dress a bit warmer!

To be continued … snaps will be coming soon.
