With luge now part of WBD’s expanded premium winter sports offering for the 2025/2026 season, the company aims to establish a long-term partnership with the International Luge Federation (FIL) in the lead-up to the 2030 Winter Olympics in France. Trojan Paillot, Vice President of Sports Acquisition and Syndication at WBD Sports Europe, announced: “We are the home of winter sports and have proudly built our reputation over the past decades by being committed to covering more sports, events and athletes during the winter season than any other broadcaster. We are delighted to partner with the International Luge Federation and include the Luge World Cup in our expanded live winter sports offering. Luge will be an important part of our journey towards the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, when the Olympic Games return to Europe, offering even more opportunities to engage sports fans following the monumental success of the Paris 2024 Olympics, which saw us reach more viewers than ever before.”
