Only a few cities in Europe can boast that, as the holidays approach, crowds of Santa Clauses flood their streets and squares at the same time, and on the run. This will happen in Budapest on Sunday! In addition to the residents of the capital, occasional running Santa Clauses from 260 settlements in the country come to the vicinity of Fővám Square (venue on the Pest-side at the Freedom Bridge  -Szabadság hid.

In addition to the special pre-Christmas running atmosphere, the organizers also take care of the snowfall: every runner will start and arrive at the finish line amid Santa Claus’ snowflakes at the fun leisure sports event.

BSI is organizing the PENNY Santa Run for the 8th time, where everyone runs head-to-toe in Santa clothes. Participants can complete the longer 5 km or the more leisurely 2.3 km distance, while the organizers offer the 980-meter race for families or the smallest.

Runners dressed as Santa can also donate to charity. They can place their gifts – toys, stationery, school supplies – in a huge box, which the Hungarian Red Cross delivers to children and families in need.

On-site entry for/to all three distances on Sunday from 9 a.m. in the competition center at the Lónyay Street – Reformed High School (Református Gimnázium) Budapest.

Start schedule:
