BULGARIA will be the FOREIGNER Guest of Honor @ the Travel 2024 exhibition!

“Bulgaria will present itself at Hungary’s most important tourism forum on 100-square-meter stand” said by  Hriszto Polendakov – Bulgaria’s ambassador to Budapest at yesterday’s  Bulgarian Cultural Center – Budapest. He spoke about their goals as with participating with nine co-exhibitors, emphasizing that the country is a tourist destination available all year round. Contunied staying  that more than 70 increasingly popular beaches await visitors all of them traditional, old resorts, 22 of them, and one port, have also received the blue flag certification.

Within his introduction he gave a small geographical description of Bulgaria … “Sitting flush with Turkey, Bulgaria is the often-forgotten big brother of the Balkan countries – tourists head straight to its beaches, but now visitors can find out more at our stand …”This is all Bulgaria!”  the sights-and-sound  the visitors may receive full details offering where … what … how to travel  such as: travelers guide, stunning natural beauty, hot spring waters, fabulous seaside towns, golden sandy beaches, historical treasures, remarkable monasteries and unforgettable mountain panoramas and its unique gastronomy. More about Bulgaria … located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, where Thracian, Byzantine, Roman, Slavic and Bulgarian cultures meet. The Bulgarian coast and the Black Sea offer excellent conditions for surfing, water skiing, diving and fishing. Black Sea resorts offer opportunities for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, as well as eco-tourism, photo safaris and excursions to natural, cultural and architectural attractions. The rose is the symbol of Bulgaria. Picking roses, one of the oldest traditional customs in Bulgaria, has become a tourist attraction.  Bulgarian cuisine is extremely diverse and tasty, with a wide variety of salads, breads, stews and other local dishes. This year the CITY OF GYULA is to be the DOMESTIC Guest of Honor @ the Travel 2024 exhibition!

You can go on a journey of discovery at the Gyulai stand, and this time they will guide you to the easternmost side of the country, where visitors can be enriched with information guaranteed by life’s fast-paced opportunities. So Gyula, a magical small city in Hungary’s Körös valley, offers visitors young and elder folks rich experiences during any time of the year. The city has a special atmosphere soothing and eye-catching, but have to see for yourelf.  At the Travel exhibition, there are 6 counters, 160 square meters, and it can be divided into 2 main parts (event space and meeting space… possibility for partner meetings). The middle block can be walked around by the visitors. At their counters stage can learn about city’s programs,  receive general information about partner hotels as well and to keep in mind the highlight – sightseeings in-and-around the Region & Gyula … Gyula Castle  … The old rooms of the medieval castle and the beautiful baroque palace are a mixture  of leading into the depths of the past of times. Among the centuries-old trees of the castle park is the famous Castle Spa … since 1984 was considered a spa town.  Lately the spa was extended by 1,000 meters. It offers relaxation and entertainment for all ages, as well as the opportunity to cure various diseases by the thermal waters that erupt from the depths. The Almásy Castle in Gyula welcomnes visitors to an unusual exhibition. With the help of interactive technology provide close-to-life images of the history of the castle, the daily life of the various staff and lords. It is designed to provide an authentic experience and interesting program for all ages. From the 13.5-meter-high tower lookout, can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the medieval brick castle of Gyula, the castle and its garden. The unique exhibition in Ladics Ház presents the entire heritage of a rural family. After the renovation completed in 2016, Almásy Castle won the ICOMOS award for exemplary monument renovation a year later. In 2018, it was ranked among the 40 best exhibition . Memorial museum of the great composer Ferenc Erkel birthplace at Gyula and on the occasion of being the Domestic Guest of Honor city of Gyula welcomed on th spot to taste the reach in flavor plum palinka.

At their stand in time for Gyulai Pálinka flavors to have a snip or two …  Unlike previous years, this time not in September, but earlier, between May,17-19, 2024. will be held. Gyula also has a Sausage Museum, Radio History Exhibition, local craft beers. Last but not least, before leaving to Gyula time to discover the city’s famous  namely called 100 Year’s Old –Centennial Confectionery.

The press gathering was held in the morning hours at the Bulgarian Cultural Center – Budapest, concerning the topic of which was related to the upcoming International Travel Exhibition and Festival.

As an innovation, this year’s event will be supplemented with interactive programs to better meet the needs and desire of the visitors to gain experience. Therefore, the name of the exhibition will also be renewed. Namely, the Travel + International Tourism Exhibition and Experience Festival, February 22-25, 2024., is to refer to the diverse range of the event.

“At our country’s largest and most significant travel-themed exhibition, we try to offer visitors experiences that cannot be achieved in the online world,” Klára Tihanyi, Hungexpo’s director of strategy and business development, emphasized at the press gathering and added: “23 domestic and 28 foreign destinations will offer their travels at independent stands, and cca. 150 exhibitors will be present.

The 46th Travel exhibition in recent years has increasingly popular among travelers. Although may had a subjective idea of what the term adventure means, adventure tourism as a whole is like that refers to activities such as various extreme sports by air -land- water, as well as exploring exotic destinations.

It is the most prestigious and also the largest domestic tourist exhibition in our country. A unique opportunity for those interested in tourism and active recreation. Domestic and international professional visitors and the most important market players can present their products and services.

Tourists who prefer active tourism look both physically and mentally for various forms of exercise close to nature, not only within the borders of the country, but also to travel abroad. This includes different types of tours, sightseeing programs, and sometimes personal challenges that fit the profile of the adventure individuals.

The Budapest Boat Show is Hungary’s largest land show port, the season-opening event of sailing and water sports at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Convention and Exhibition Center!
