Let’s take a look at the offerings…

In April, HBO Max’s offering awaits viewers with a more diverse selection than ever before: legendary classics, cult franchises, fresh HBO Original series and exciting documentaries arrive one after another, making the first month of spring a real movie and series experience marathon.

Several iconic titles will be available at the beginning of the month, including Jaws (April, 2), Steven Spielberg’s still-influential classic, which redefined the thriller and adventure film genre and created the concept of the “summer blockbuster”, and E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial (April, 3), which is still able to appeal to all ages. Also arriving is the animated trilogy of one of the family’s favorites, all three parts of How to Train Your Dragon (April, 3)

April is a real treat for series fans: the hit HBO Original series, Euphoria, returns with new episodes for season 3 (April,13), episodes arrive weekly), which this time continues the story of Rue and her friends 5 years later. The series, photographed by Rév Marcel, features some of the most talented and well-known young talents of our time, including the return of Zendaya, Sidney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, and Jacob Elordi. It is sad to note that this series will also be the last time we see the recently deceased Eric Dane, with whom we managed to record scenes last year.

Humor lovers can look forward to the fifth and final season of the multi-award-winning Hacks (April,10), starring the multi-award-winning Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder. The Other Benett Sister (April, 8) will debut in the middle of the month. Based on the acclaimed novel by Janice Hadlow, the drama centers on Mary Bennet, the often neglected middle sister. While her sisters pursue romance and social success, Mary leaves Longbourn behind and travels to London and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

Investigation Discovery, the leading channel for true crime, is presenting a new, special series. Boy Band Confidential (April,14) is an in-depth look at the “boy band explosion” of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The production explores how the industry turned young performers into easily marketable products, while uncovering previously untold stories of abuse, addiction and financial mismanagement. Through candid, unfiltered interviews with the biggest names in pop music, the series reveals the secret machinery of manufactured superstardom and the heavy human cost of the era’s glittering perfection.

Fans of mystery and darker atmospheres will not be left without news either: the most successful horror series of recent times, From Aprol,20, will finally continue with its fourth season, and the HBO Original series The Dark Wizard (April,15) will arrive, which is a direct and unvarnished portrait of Dean Potter, one of the world’s most influential and divisive mountaineers. The series follows the breathtaking achievements that made him a legend, while also revealing the personal crises and internal struggles that defined his entire life. At the end of the month, Richard Gadd, the creator of The Deer Baby, will debut the character-driven drama Half Man (April, 24). The six-part limited series examines issues of brotherhood, violence, and the extraordinary fragility of male relationships. The story reminds us that when everything falls apart… it’s often the closest bonds that break most painfully. It explores questions of identity and moral boundaries. Starring Jamie Bell and Richard Gadd.

The film lineup is also extremely strong in April: both new and old versions of the classic adventure thriller will be available, including Anaconda (April, 24) and Anaconda (2025) (April, 24), while fans of independent films can look forward to Jimmy Jaguar (April, 30) at the end of the month. Also arriving are Denzel Washington’s cult film, Man of Steel (April, 3), the Oscar-winning Winter Break (April, 3) with Paul Giamatti, Jerry Maguire (April, 4), the sci-fi The Creator (April, 4), the Dancing Feet films (April, 18), Shakespeare in Love (April, 18) and a bunch of more entertainment.
