Documentary about the terrorist attack on the Nova festival to be screened @ Nyíregyháza
According to the announcement, the modern state of Israel is a diverse, multi-religious, democratic country with an extremely complex social and cultural structure. Tivadar Herzl, of Hungarian origin, played a decisive role in the founding of the state. In addition to the various branches of Judaism, Muslim and Christian communities also live together in the country. In recent decades, Israel has achieved outstanding results in high-tech, pharmaceutical research, defense innovation and many other areas, while also facing ongoing security challenges and the presence of terrorism.
The aim of the series of events is to provide a comprehensive picture of this complex social and historical reality, with particular attention to addressing the younger generations, while at the same time offering valuable and thought-provoking programs for all ages. In addition, the organizers aim to present the social, cultural and public activities of the contemporary Hungarian Jewish community. The diversity of the community and the role it plays in 21st century Hungarian society are given special emphasis.
