The National Ceramic Art Triennale is a large-scale exhibition of contemporary Hungarian ceramics and
will present new values of porcelain art from March 9 -11.30 A.M: until April, 21. @ the Zsolnay Quarter m21 Gallery.
The tender was accompanied by enormous interest. At the Triennale, based on the jury’s decision, can see more than 200 works by 100 artists, so the exhibition can be said to be the largest exhibition of the Hungarian artistic ceramics industry to date.
The intention of the organizers is to continue the traditions of the long-standing National Biennale of Ceramics, started in 1967, which provides a regular opportunity for Hungarian ceramic artists and designers to present themselves, this time in the form of a Triennale.
In 2024, the organizers will present the results of the past period in a comprehensive way, giving the opportunity in an area of more than 1000 m2 to get to know for the visitors. The material displayed there was selected in such a way that it gives the most complete and most recent image of contemporary Hungarian silicate art. The particioants can learn about the creators’ extensive use of materials and alternative, innovative solutions.
After the opening of the exhibition at 2 p.m. the visitors may participate in the starting round table discussion.
The Department of Electronic Music and Media of the Faculty of Arts of PTE will participate in the opening.
