2023 World Press Photo Contest authentic photos tell the story of world events. The annual exhibition presenting its results presents the best and most important photojournalistic and documentary photos of the past year. The winners were selected from more than 60,448 photos by an independent jury. The World Press Photo Foundation introduced a regional strategy last year, changing the structure of the annual competition and judging to provide a more global and geographically balanced view of world events. Entries from Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central America, South America, South-East Asia and Oceania will be evaluated separately.

Authentic photos tell the story of world events for the first time for six weeks, from September, 22 to November, 5.

Officially open to the public Thursday, September, 21. at 1 p.m. at the Hungarian National Museum – District VIII., 14-16 Múzeum Blvd Budapest. Free of charge.
