A GLOW AND SUPPORT HIA FOR XMAS AT THE VÖRÖSMARTHY SQUARE – BUDAPEST

 LET IT SNOW AND SEND A HIA XMAS CARD TO SUPPORT THE NEEDY!

The Hungarian Post Ltd  (Magyar Posta Zrt) and the HIA made an announcement to the invited press members gathered at the Vörösmarthy Square’s Advent Fair they have prepared for the occasion  season greeting cards and the total of the sales will go to the HIA account.

Mr. Gergely Domonkos, President of the Hungarian Post Company, presented the collection of this year’s Xmas stamp. On the stamp, “Madonna with Angels”, Ms. Erzsébet Udvardi, Kossuth-award artist’s painting can be seen.

Since 1999  the Christmas Fair was held at the Vörösmarthy Square, but  this year the Hungarian Post for the first time takes part joining the Xmas Advent. Beside the traditional handicrafts and winter delights, a small  wooden Xmas-style, century post office will be reminding the visitors and customers to post their seasons greetings here in Hungary and family, friends abroad. Traditional postal services except alsorts of mail to be posted on the spot. Ordinary mails, postcards can be posted on the sport. Packages  mailed abroad heavier than 5 kilogram have a 10% discount only mailed at the Vörösmarthy Square’s postall service.  The domestic mailing price are the same as at any post office. Yet here mailed  packages  above the weight of 5 kilograms, 20% off discount will be charged. A lovely collection of Xmas stamps and other season’s specialties along with stamps for philately lovers can be brought. The post thought of those foreigner customers  who may wish to get some small gifts from Hungary by having a collection of some hungaricum product!

The logo of the Budapest Xmas Fair is on every postcard stamp, which is supported by the aid agencies and also the local mail office.

The HIA’s event was attended by Mr. László Lehel, the HIA’s CEO, Ms. Anikó Levai, the HIA Goodwill Ambassador, Ms. Zsófia Vitézy, the fair organizer, Budapest Festival and Tourism Nonprofit Ltd. and managing director, Mr. Gergely Domonkos Horváth, President of the Hungarian Post. At the end of the press announcement they all posted their season’s  best wishes to …(?) by buying a postcard to support the aid organization.
