The Gyukli Winery  – Balatonfüred wine tasting went on with wines, the Bio Hibernal wine, which is the equivalent of Sauvignon Blanc, and the Bio Solaris wine which had a slightly sweet effect and was simply the best in tasting. Had a sip of Grandioso Kékfrankos -Merlot Cuvee and was told these grapes are ripened on mediterranean slopes then carefully selected and harvested by hand. This wine is elegant, it has a full texture on the palate followed by spicy characters along with silky tannins and a long, smooth, balanced finish, contains sulfites.

Zsolt owner of the Söptei Winery  – Balatonfüred-Csopaki Historic Wine Region, spoke about his winery and wines saying, thanks to the unique features of the deep-layered clayey loess soil with limestone debris and the sub-Mediterranean climate, their winery producing rich, full-bodied wines. The Lendület 2019 wine is not only beating heart of their wine region, but felt that feeling by tasting with its fresh, fruity varietal character, a substantial wine. Winery segments: Italian Riesling. Dry, white, protected designation of origin wine.  Year-after-year their wines received countless recognitions at the world’s most prestigious and longest-standing wine certification event – the Bordeaux Challenge International du Vin international wine competition, namely the “Hangulat”, a dry yellow muscat, won a gold medal in 2021, and the “Varázlat” 2018, also won a gold medal in 2020 the Italian Riesling. The chronicle of their outstanding results in France goes back more than a decade, when received their first award in Bordeaux in 2010. Of course, their wines received numerous professional recognitions Hungary. They run the winery branch and a cozy family restaurant in Csopak.

The Androsics EstateBalatonőszöd, were very poular within the tasting visitors. Was told the reductive wines made with the most modern technology.  Their wine houses hold a 250 square meter wooden barrel cellar where long-aged wines can rest. On the spot fantaistic estate’s wines were to be taste such as: Androsics Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Noir-Merlot, Androsics Királyelányka, Androsics, Androsics Italian Riesling, Androsics Pinot Gris. An extra thought to Androsics wines … world of overwhelming taste that can be described.

The Tagyon 730 – Targyon,  The winemaker himself presented tasting with the exhibited wines such as: Rieslingszylvani, Dry, Gray, friendly, Italian Riesling. The Tagyon Estate‘s 4 hectares of vineyards are all located on  the foot of Tagyon Mountain, so the vines absorb valuable nutrients from the same soil, guaranteeing constant quality which is based on the harvested grape crop. The wine producer  goal is to make sure that the valuable substances found in the grapes get into the must and wine, and happy to say are also found in it.

The Pócz Winery  – Balatonlelle,  wines were not new in tasting table.  Pócz brought to the scene to taste eight different wines, which meant to have an insight into almost the entire range of this cellar. At Kishegyen – Balatonlelle cellar  may see and taste his white wine grape varieties: Olivér Irsai, Rizlingssilváni, Zenit, Ottonel Muskotály, Yellow Muskotály, Sürkebarát, Tramini, Királylényka, Zöldveltelini, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling, Italian Riesling. Red wine grape varieties: Portugieser, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Kékfrankos. Nowonder everyone found their wine close to them.  Many may know that the grape and wine production in Somogy County has a thousand-year-old tradition. The former masters of Pannonia, the Romans, spread viticulture, as evidenced by archaeological findings. After the conquest, as early as the 11th century, found records related to grapes on this area.

From the Káli-basin – The “Kénytelen Chardonnay” – 2022 serially numbered wine was presented to the delightful audience for the tasting and cellar’s champagne was highly appreciated. Their wines are carefully selected ingredients, fermented and matured in a single barrel in numbered bottles without fining, puncturing or sulphurizing.

Beside the BalatonBor walking wine tasting took place master class presentations were held,  by a master class  Historian Dr. Emőke Kovács  when interesting facts, storytelling was heard about history of Balaton gastronomy and winemaking.  Dr. Péter Bodor-Pesti introduced the audience to the secrets and possibilities of vineyard selection. The winemaker Zsolt Söptei argued in favor of the mature ingredients and the low use of sulphur, which ensure that the wine not ending up with a “headache”. Based on his German and domestic experience, Krisztián Gyukli explained the labor-intensive and decades-long process of grape breeding. In the closing part of the course, Attila Geönczeöl brought 3 examples of his winesfrom the Highlands.

The representatives of the wineries went from table-to-table to “neighbor”  tasting each other’s wine of the new vintages.
