Pécs will be the capital of passion and embrace: the 6th International Tango Festival is soon coming up.

From the 18th to 20 September 2026, Pécs will transform into passion and embrace of South American elegance, fine musicality and human connections for the sixth time. The 6th Pécs International Tango Festival offers three days of complete immersion in the magical world of Argentine tango. The organizers are waiting for the audience with international instructors, a free dance theater performance, a live music concert, an amateur dance competition and a special fashion show. Almost all programs of the three-day event series are free to attend.
The goal of the festival is to open the doors wide to those interested in the genre and bring the incomparable feeling of tango closer.Tuning in and international coursesm as well.
The festival will start on the 18th of September the House of Happiness. In the introductory workshop, led by instructors Franz Alvaro Bravo and Andrea Serbán, participants can explore the most important cornerstones of tango: connection and embrace. In the evening, the weekend will kick off with the opening dance night of the Milonga Bienvenida. On Saturday morning, professional courses will continue in the Panorama room of the Zsolnay Quarter, where the focus will be on experiencing musicality and the elegant use of the dance floor.
Stage premiere, live music and amateur dance competition in the Zsolnay Quarter On Saturday, the opening dance of the Argentine Tango Dance Theater in the E78 concert hall of the Zsolnay Quarter will be followed by the exciting semi-final of the 2nd Pécs Amateur Tango Dance Competition.
