Budapest in the year 2019 annual Sports Capital of Europe.
On the first of September for the 3rd time streets and squares will be for the sporty lovers to compete or just watch and cheer to the participants in the race. At the River Danube, Footy field, Streetball, Running, Laser Run. Again will fill the air/water/streets with athletes and sporty lovers, as the beginning to the 3rd Budapest Urban Games (BUG). This special “Street Olympics” was brought under the umbrella by the support of the Municipality of sports and the city’s organization as to was gain sporting recovery of the city and to the attention of the sport communities to activate among the locals to be in the mood for sports.
So off you go only for the day September, 1.
“Grund” – football field – Klauzál Square – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Five-a-side football games)
Streetball – Klauzál Square – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Streetball competition)
Running – Citadel – 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. ( 4/8 kilometer running up the Hill to the Citadela). Previously to the registration the venue is already full.
Swimming – Freedom Bridge on the Pest side – 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. (swimming across the River Danube, quay at the Buda side). Previously to the registration the venue is already full.
Laser Run – Citadella – 2 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.

Among the well-known “faces” oat the event are among others Gergely Kiss, world champion and Olympic champion water polo player and Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky – Deputy Chief of Human Capital of Budapest, István Kovács … alias Koko – Olympic and World Champion Hungarian Boxer and Bianka Bujakosó – Client service director at ACG Budapest.
